I concur - Buyer Beware!

Semmer Electric was hired to install two smoke detectors and replace a ballast and switch. It took two service calls to accomplish these tasks. The first service call, the tech didn't even have the smoke detectors on the truck. The tech installed one of the two smoke detectors about 12' high on a wall with cathedral ceilings. He 'forgot' to install the second detector. The new smoke detector started chirping every minute and continued for over 12 hours (8PM until sometime after 8AM when I left for work)! There was no answer on the emergency line. I didn't sleep at all with the chirping every minute. When I finally spoke to someone at Semmer Electric, they told me that they would make this debacle 'right'. The second service call, the tech repaired the new detector and installed the second detector. Well, 'right' meant charging me $500.00!!!! This is outrageous. I will never use them again!

I would not trust this company to work in my home. One of their employees stole several items from my grandmother while work was being done on the house. When we contacted the owner, he was unapologetic and refused to rectify the situation. I can't believe anyone would think that it is ok to steal from an 88 year old woman!
