Long story short:

The initial review would have been 5 stars and there is still a chance for redemption once the work is fully completed. We already paid for the services and cameras in full.

Long story:
The Good- John gave us a good price for 7 HD cameras. Two of the camera placements were not ideal and I missed the final PDF of the locations. His installers, Erick and Chad, offered better ideas for camera placements and this was finally finished about 1 month later. Fidel, the lead technician, was also very helpful is remedying the camera issues that came up.

The Bad- The camera angles did not capture our baby and toddler's cribs and took a few visits from Fidel to fix this. He was able to correct the other techs mistakes including patching large holes and we wish he had been sent out in the first place. There are quite a few things that were not to our liking. The least of which is the indoor camera quality at night time. One camera had excellent vision and the others were very fuzzy and dark. Now all the indoor cameras are dark. This problem has still not been addressed.


The Ugly- John was good as selling us the product but the service and communication has been less than satisfactory. He keeps reminding us that he gave us a great price ( $2300, not including tips we voluntarily gave to the installers). My wife and I don't think that the service should suffer because we got a 'great deal'. We just want the high definition cameras we paid for to actually work, especially at night time since they are security cameras.

Addendum:
John Kim is very impatient and accusatory once he has your money. Actually hung up on me during our correspondence.

That is correct, sir, I verbally apologized that I missed the email attachment with the camera locations drawn out. And thank you for only charging us $100 dollars for relocating it.

I really wish you had sent Fidel out for the initial job. He offered better ideas for great camera placement so that we have a peace of mind leaving our little girls at home with a babysitter while we are at work.
He also did good work and did not leave gaping holes in our walls and unsightly wires outside our house.

I sent you screen shots with the deterioration in camera quality because of the bad wire connections from your previous technicians( some thing Fidel noted, not us).

We just want the job finished with the cameras working as we paid for. This is our house and I gain nothing by writing a bad review because we still have fuzzy night time vision on these cameras.

I had a very good experience with their service.
First, John came in to roughly quote me, he came across very knowledgeable and he inspired me trust, which I can't say the same for all the contractors I hire, having various projects. His price was low from the get go and didn't start up high to then ""give me a discount"" :)
Scheduling was delayed a little, but because I made a mistake on the details I gave John, but he was very patient and promptly got the right equipment and re-scheduled me.

The technicians that were here came prepared and didn't need anything from me, they knew exactly what they were doing. Eric, one of the technicians followed up with me about a week later to make sure everything was working right with my installation which absolutely impressed me, as follow ups make all the difference in making you feel they care.

I will definitively keep their contact for anything else up where their service is applicable. And I highly recommend their service. Pricing is the best in town, I was quoted by 2 other people that wanted an eye and a leg! Lol

I got a their number from a friend and call SECURED TECH to upgrade my old security camera system since I experienced several vandalism at my restaurant. John came out the very next day to give us a very reasonable price and we scheduled an install date to get 8 cameras placed inside at outside. They did a great job. We had some complications as far as connecting to the server on the mobile app but their tech support was great and helped me to get around the issue I had right away.
Also, we had few defective cameras with IR function not kicking on at night but when I contacted John, he sent out tech support right away to replace them and get the problem straightened out.
Great service. Love the HD on my videos.
