3-13-23 No show for an apt. No call. No explanation. This was an 8 am appointment, and there was no offer to come in later in the day. We cancelled and didn't reschedule.

NEVER SHOWED UP!! Didn't call, didn't text, didn't email me... nothing!

Had an appointment LAST Thursday that *I* messed up because I didn't 'confirm' it (message went to my spam folder - I have since whitelisted him)... So, changed it to THIS Thursday (today) from 11-5pm and told Tyler consider it confirmed now. He resent the appointment to my calendar even. Even says ""Location: We have your address from the quote page!"" but I gave it to him when we talked last week (he has my number also which he could call OR text me at).

BUT, just in case, I kept my eye out for any messages or emails from him. Got one about the panel may need to be replaced because it couldn't handle installing the Tesla Charger... Said it was because I was using too much (amps?) already what with my Hot Tub (breaker is off because it's leaking), Stove/Oven (which is GAS except for clock and light - on 110), Dryer (gas again, not 220). Even my water heater is gas and I really don't think any of those use much electricity.

Anyway, I have written emails, texted, called (left VM) but nothing... So, I just wasted a day off work waiting around for someone that never showed up... Great...

So, time for me to look for someone else to install it... And he lost out on a possible upgrade job for the breaker panel AND to put in a couple more outlets in my garage as well... But I guess he was just tooooo busy doing work for someone else...

Thanks for NOTHING... Literally...

Had fantastic service yesterday. Tyler went above and beyond helping with a TV equipment matter. He came over to disconnect a plug and helped on a couple of other matters. Really appreciated everything!

We have used Seaside for several jobs at our home and have recommended them to neighbors as well. They are always friendly, prompt, courteous, and clean up when they are done. We had an electric car charger put in, a spa wired, outlets added, and a short traced. Always well done. Recently Jason has been the electrician we ask for and he is an incredible electrician and always finishes the job well. We will continue to hire and highly recommend . Great business and great people with great skills.

I had a simple change out of a receptacle in the garage. When i got the bill from Seaside Electric they grossly overcharged the time spent for the change out. Then, I shocked at the changeout rate for the technician that came out to the job site. They billed the technician out at $110/hour. I am in the wrong business if this is a typical rate for a service person. Don't blame it on covid!! I will never use this company again and recommend any one to get a second quote. Larry Graves

Called because of positive Yelp reviews. Quick response, organized and helpful. Set appointment for two days in advance. Showed up on time and fixed a timer for outside lights. Very quickly. Excellent local business.

The wiring in my house in Ventura was old school in that they were almost entirely ungrounded therefore having a much higher probability of an electric shock. However, the wiring was in very good and useful condition. Also, my main panel and breakers were old and needed replacement. I hired Seaside Electric to remedy the problem. Jim came out to my house and took a look at what I had and explained what he could do for me. Then James, an electrician working for Seaside, came out to my house, introduced himself, and explained each day what he was going to do and then did it. I found James to be naturally meticulous and honest and was well mannered. They were also able to completed the job in such a manner that while James worked on the job my electricity could remain on for over 90% of the time with very little interruption. They completed the job and I really liked Jame's work at Seaside.

I always say to make sure to get a written contract and stay in communication with your contractors. Always implement good business practices whenever you hire a contractor and check to see if they are licensed and have any social media reviews like Yelp. Make wise decisions going in and you'll be happier on the way out.

I had a great experience working with Jim at a Seaside Electric! We purchased an older home and I was scared to death about the electric problems listed on the inspection report. Jim came out and gave me very practical and affordable solutions to address the issues and make our home safe. I was expecting someone to 'upsale' their services, saying we would have to gut the whole house but he knew what to do to make it work until we can afford to do that at some point down the road. Thank you so much! Totally awesome experience from start to finish! I absolutely recommend.
