Wow! What a great family run company. We really needed someone to come out and help us with our set up. Not only did they do just that, but came out on a holiday weekend and did not charge us an arm and a leg. They took the time to go through our system for us, as well and presenting us with a write up on what they did and suggestions to help us in the future. The owner, Barry, reviewed our electric bills, looked over our property, and educated us about different options to help us make an informed decision. We chose to buy a system consisting of 44 solar panels and 2 inverters to meet the high consumption in our older all-electric home. Our roof is mostly flat, and Barry recommended a ballast installation to avoid penetrating the tar & gravel. The inverters he installed feature a back-up outlet so that we are able to run essential appliances during a power outage.
Barry has been installing solar systems since the 1970's, and he knows the industry. He handled the engineering approval, county permit, and PG&E involvement, keeping us updated all along the way. After everything was up and running, Barry showed us how the system works and what to do in the event of a power outage. When my husband went on the roof to check out the installation, he was greatly impressed by the workmanship, stating that everything was tied off nicely and there was no debris left behind.
We appreciated being able to work with the owners directly and felt like we were given individualized attention. For example, on the day PG&E was supposed to come out for our conversion to solar, damage in the area from an overnight storm required them to cancel. Rather than settle for the two week delay PG&E planned, Ronna worked with them to reschedule just two days later. Sea Wind Solar's cost, payment arrangements, and service were excellent, and we definitely recommend them

Barry has been a contractor for many years , and has been installing solar
Systems since the 70's. He knows his products and how to install them so they dont hurt your house. He is very patient and will explain Options for you. He is finishing building an addition onto my house and it has turned out just terrific. He runs his own operation so doesnt have the overhead of a big company. Highly recommended.
