We had a power surge due to our power lines going down in the early February wind storm. We had multiple issues as a result of the damage caused by the surge. We reached out to Steven at S&E Electric based on his numerous 5 star reviews on Yelp. He responded to us very quickly and was at our home within a couple of days. He started with our electric panel and replaced one of the switches. Next, he tested our garage door openers and confirmed those were fried. He also checked a kitchen light fixture and advised the ballast was shot. He also checked the outlet to our dishwasher and confirmed it was good. Steven was very professional and knowledgeable and the cost was reasonable. We will be using S&E Electric as our primary electrician in the future. Highly recommend S&E.

I hired Steve to install an EV Charger at my rental house in downtown Sacramento and then install a Tesla Charger at my Rocklin home. The Rocklin house had a few complications mainly because I had a very old panel. Steve prior to taking the job did a bunch of research to make sure that he could do it safely and cost effectively. He was able to mitigate all the previous issues I had in Rocklin and present me with several options to choose from. He did great work and finished everything in half of a day. He really went above and beyond what I expected an electrician to do. You could tell he spent time doing his homework before coming out and trying to spend time figuring out solutions on the spot. I really gained a ton of trust and respect for Steve and would highly recommend him to anybody looking for an electrician.

Stephen answered my request for a quote through yelp almost immediately. He arrived at the time he said he would and provided a detailed professional quote. He then arrived the following day to complete the work and he again arrived on time, did the work within the time frame he estimated. After he was done, he cleaned up after his work. I was on the final As Built inspection of a shop, and was informed that the 3 exterior electrical outlets weren't rated for outside. 

I called the electrical company I've used in the past, and they sent someone to give me a quote.  I totally misunderstood that just having them come give a quote would cost $79. Then the estimate they gave me was $1300. That was for 3 outlets. 

I then put the all call out on Yelp. Steven from S&E electrical was the first one to respond.  I  called him and he was able to come over the next day. He gave me an estimate over the phone of $450 and had it done the next day. The following day, the inspector found another one that needed to be replaced.  He got there that same day, fixed it up. The next day, my shop passed the final inspection. My shop is now totally permitted and legal.  Thank you so much, Steven, for your help, I'm sure it would have taken longer without your help.

If only every guy you hired knew his trade extremely well and worked with honesty and integrity, remodels would be a breeze. Steven is that guy!!

He was professional, precise and knowledgeable at what he does, and an impeccable communicator. After seeing how efficiently he was able to solve two major issues we had (which my GC was taking days to deal with and unable to solve), I ended up adding a few more things to his plate just to get everything done. We're up to code now and ready for the inspection.

I hired Steven to install a new circuit so we could switch from a gas to induction cooktop. Communication was great, and his price was competitive. He even took the time to read the cooktop installation manual to make sure the wiring was ready and the junction box would be in the right spot. I would definitely work with him again.
