I called SDS Electric this afternoon to check out our electric pilot and an outlet in our kitchen that hasn't been working since we moved in. They were able to come out same day, and even called to let me know they were in traffic and would be 15 minutes late. No service company ever does that! When they arrived they determined quickly that it wasn't even an electrical issue we were having...our stove top just needs replaced. They didn't charge us a dime for coming out. I will definitely use them in the future if we do end up with electrical issues.

I am completely blown away by SDS. I called them today at 2pm just for an estimate and by 4pm they were here, ready to do the work I needed. They were super professional & the electrician (Josh) worked till late (10pm!) to get the job done right. He was very communicative, explaining to me why he did what he did & left my place very clean.

Overall, I was so impressed and believe me, I'm not easy to please... I've had numerous contractors & home-related professionals in my home before, but these guys were by far the best I've experienced. It sounds ridiculous to say it, but I really can't wait to recommend these guys because they work hard & deserve to get the business!

We had a problem with a couple of outlets not working. Unlike many companies, SDS Electric didn't leave us hanging around all day waiting. They happened to be in our area and were there very quickly--about an hour after I called. They were very friendly and professional and did a good job of explaining the problem. They fixed the problem right away, and the charge was very reasonable--what I would expect for a service call. Plus, they take credit cards, which was great because I didn't have my checkbook on me. Overall, it was a painless experience and I would definitely call them again if the need arises.

Basically as most people would agree problems come at the worst timing when least expected, well at least this one did in our case.

What helped our family take it with less frustration and with ease was by having Sds Electric guide us and help us solve our issue. I wanted to mention my story in case someone might be having a similar problem or concern with electric problems.

Where I live the House actually feeds another office on the property which has people working out of it monday through friday that run machinery which require electricity.One day as I noticed that the utility bill had a increased drastically which hit me because this was not the average bill that we had been seeing. When I approached the guy whos in charge of the operation addressing this issue that they had gone way over and this had bumped up my bill he just acted as if they havent used anything out of the norm.
So we decided to let another month go and see if this is something that took place because of too much use from our front house or they pretty much didnt want to take responsibility of their usage and sure enough another outrageous bill.Contacted the owner of the property and let him know that I will not be okay with paying someone elses portion which Is totally unfair. He advised that I call out the city. So as usually City always has a reason and excuse that thats not something that they can help out with.Only if we knew that finding a good Electician in los angeles is like finding a good soul mate. Had few people come out and none of their recommendations was something that we coulda done in timely manner and something that wouldnt cost an arm and leg. Some said to contact city and some said would have to rewire the house because the wiring is incorrect and has problems causing overloading which will bump of the bill. Anyhow found Sds Electric and saw that people had all been happy with their services and decided to have them take a look and see what they think. The gentlemen that came out were clean curteous and gave the impression that theyre priority was to help the customer out and give the best solution that would fit my budget. I really thought about the options that were given and we had them take care of this problem and now we have a way that were able to count how much of it has been used by the working place which keeps things fair. They arrived on time delivered what was promised and they have fair prices and good customer service. What more can you ask for...

The employees at SDS are friendly, helpful, and well-informed. We own a restaurant in downtown Los Angeles, and Josh and Alfred have helped us on numerous occasions for various projects. They are prompt, affordable and genuinely want to help solve whatever problem exists.

We called SDS Electric after seeing all the positive reviews on Yelp and we're so happy we did. We had just moved into our new house when we noticed the recessed lighting in our family room kept flickering. While other electricians told us over the phone that we had installed the wrong type of light bulbs, SDS actually took the time to come over to inspect them. Josh and Alfred quickly discovered that all 13 recessed lights had been installed wrong, from the transformer down to the wires. They discussed with us what our options were and had their office email us 2 different estimates that day to compare and choose what we wanted to do.

On the day of our appointment to install the new recessed lights, Josh, Alfred and Art arrived on time and got started right away. Even though they soon found more issues (like the wires held together with duct tape), they stayed more than 11 hours to finish everything in 1 day. While it was a very long day for them, they were always courteous, cleaned everything up and thanked us for using their services.

It was a pleasure working with SDS Electric. They were always prompt, their prices affordable and their staff very knowledgeable and friendly. We would definitely use SDS Electric again and recommend them to others.

I needed my outlets grounded so I found SDS Electric Yelp. It did not sound like a tempting DIY activity.

I wasn't not able to get a price quote over the phone because the problem needed to be looked at. Luckily SDS Electric was able to provide a free estimate on site. I was surprised they drove out to my area from Glendale. points for that. They were able to answer our questions that day, including ones for LED lights and we agreed to book a future appointment day.

I did not get my outlets truly grounded because the whole house would need rewiring $$$$. I selected the cheaper option presented to me. Josh and Art were upfront that it was not a true ground. Josh and Art were pleasant and friendly to work with and were actively running around the house to inspect the outlets. My outlet receptacles were replaced with the grounded ones--because it wasn't a true ground my appliances wouldn't be protected, but I would be if I got shocked! (Might want to consult the net or these electricians for a better explanation). So..I won't be able to say if this is working or not...would not want to test!

I did request the electrical panel to be labeled, and I'll have to say I was impressed that they labeled everything with a labelmaker instead of sharpie and paper tape... looks nice! And easy to understand from a glance

Anyways..main points: nice personality, free estimate, and though I can't judge on their other electrical work...they are licensed :)
