We just had Sconce Electric do a third job for us in Sacramento. We have an old house. The first time they replaced obsolete wiring, removed a ton of can lights that did not look good in an old house, and put in some new outlets. The second time they did some work we forget to ask them to do the first time, including fixing some exterior wiring. This time they put up several exterior light fixtures with light and motion sensors, which required some rewiring.

Sconce Electric's work is top notch. They're not afraid of old wiring or complicated old attics. They always show up on time. They are efficient and well organized. Everyone on the crew is very nice, and they all seem to really enjoy their work. They explain everything they are doing, before and while they do it. They explain all the alternatives, in order from most to least preferable. They always use the most preferable alternative unless there turns out to be a significant barrier, in which case they will inform you. I really appreciate this, because I don't like to be reassured that a contractor will do a great job but be denied any details. Greg Sconce (how's that for an appropriate surname?) even came by to do an estimate for the exterior fixtures while my husband was trying to replace our doorbell and had gotten stumped. Greg explained, free of charge, exactly how to solve the problem so my husband was able to finish the doorbell work by himself.

Called on a Sunday and left a message knowing they were not open. On Monday morning Greg called me and said he could come and look at the job we need, sprinkler electric plug put through the garage wall. He would come out on Tuesday morning at 8am. He showed up and gave us an estimate and said he could have someone at our house between 12noon and 2pm. that day. Chris called and said he was on his way to our house. He arrived at 12noon and did a fantastic job. Very knowledgeable and very plight. I can't say enough for this company will use them again and recommend them to everyone one I know.

Outstanding customer service, electrical knowledge, extremely pleasant and cleaned up almost cleaner then what it was before they started.
Greg and his team showed up on time and very well prepared with drop clothes for every inch of my kitchen and hallway to the front door.
They installed a kitchen ceiling fan and 4 recessed lights. After the job was complete and they were out the door I realized something extra that I needed. Greg could accommodate me the same day and made these lights dim with a couple of other necessities that I left out originally.

We called Greg about installing a 220/240 plug in our garage. On Wednesday Greg came out and his estimate was very reasonable. We made an appointment for Friday at noon. His team was here early and about 20 minutes later we had a 220 plug in the garage. They are great! And I can charge my car (Leaf) at home.

Greg and his team are great. He answered all of my technical questions without talking over my head. Electricity concepts can be confusing sometimes. Converted all of the older two-prong outlets into grounded 3-prong outlets in my 65 year old house, and he cleaned-up after himself too.
