Unreliable and unprofessional. Do not use this service! Will cheat you for your money! Schamber electric is a joke and should not be called on to do any service work at all.

Don't even bother with this poorly operated fiasco.

They don't come when they say they will

They don't proactively call to respect customers time

They farm out help

Customer service rep has a short fuse and defaults to ""call someone else""

I did and am glad I followed her advice.

I wish I could give them zero stars. The service person is very rude. The same problem is accruing and the service person gave us attitudes. We wish our builder could provide other electric company for our warranty, so we don't have face their attitudes ever again.

Schamber Electric is awesome we have called them for emergencies and for daily items and always received quick and excellent response time. They are professional and courteous. During one emergency we lost electricity to our entire building and Schamber electric got us back in business within the hour. They have also provided smaller non-emergency items like smoke alarms, electric hand-dryers in all bathrooms, updating electrical wiring and installing outside security lighting. Pete is usually our go to guy and we are thankful to have Schamber Electric to rely on for all of our electrical needs!

I called this company because my home was under warranty. I made my first appointment and the service person did not show up or call to cancel the appointment. The address light was out on the front of my house. After my second call and a three week delay the service person came out and he fixed the sign and also told me the 2nd light bulb was out. Instead of replacing the bulb and charging me for the bulb he handed me the bulb and told me to go to a hardware store for a replacement bulb because its not covered under warranty. I called the company and the customer service person was at a lost for words of why the service person did not replace the light bulb. I don't have anything bad to say about the company, but they do not solve your problem or go the extra mile.

I began having trouble with the same light switch for some reason. I placed a work order request through my home's website; however, I never heard back from them. I decided to call Schamber Electric directly, and the call-taker immediately helped me. She quickly set up an appointment for me and really provided great customer service. Within a few days, the company sent Pete back to my residence. He re-assessed the problem and installed a brand new switch (it appears the sensor may have been the problem). Once again, in and out in around 10 minutes. It's so easy with this guy! So far, so good... the light switch hasn't given me any more problems. But I know if it ever does again (doubt it), I can count on Schamber Electric to help me out faster than my home's company can or ever will! Thanks again, Pete!

Request Pete if possible! I gotta give 4 stars because the work originally done wasn't 100% by the installers on our new home. But they were small errors. I'm giving 4 stars though because Pete was amazing with his customer service when he came out to fix the issues and took his time to give me explanations of what was wrong, what he was doing, and educating me on other tasks I want to do. Was able to explain in a way anyone could understand. I'll definitely request him in the future! Thanks Pete!

They got a few really good honest guys but the girl in the office makes them all look bad, it's really sad. She has no idea what she is doing and is 2faced but it's the owners fault for letting it happen. I'd recommend them but only if you can schedule through one of the field supervisors or Dillon in the office. Too bad one ugly of a person can ruin it for everyone, try not to let that happen.

I contacted this company after seeing an old ad in the Yellow Pages. Even though they no longer provided residential services they were very helpful at addressing my concerns regarding my electrical panel. The first company I received a quote from wanted 350 an hour to replace my house panel which would've cost me about $4000. They even offered financing through GE which would result in me paying off the services over 10 years. That is just crazy. I spoke with one of the owners and he was very helpful and gave my name to one of his employees who contacted me and came to my house to assist me with the problem. Even though Schamber electric no longer did residential service work they were able to help me get my issues resolved at a reasonable price. The people were very nice and helped me quickly to fix my panel without breaking my pocket book.

I wish I could give zero stars. First, we believe we were required to use this company because our builder used them and they claimed it would void our warranty unless we did. Turns out not to be true, but it explains why we tried so hard to work with them.

First, scheduling an appointment was a nightmare. They didn't have anything available for more than a week, they have a two hour minimum, and they charge really high prices. Nonetheless, we scheduled the appointment. They couldn't do our first appointment, so we rescheduled. The day before they were to come out, they called us to let us know they couldn't come. At that point we told them that they needed to come out because it had been several weeks for us without any lights in the new place. The person said they would be sending someone out.

Fast forward to the next day when they're over an hour late and we try to contact the company on the phone. First, they claim to be placing us on hold and instead put us on the same line with another customer who was calling with her own complaint. Then we sat on hold again and couldn't get through to the customer service representative. Next, when we finally got ahold of her she said she had tried to cancel our appointment and wasn't able to find a replacement. She didn't even bother to call to let us know no one would be out. When we asked for the manager so that we could let them know what was going on, we were given the HR manager (who clearly didn't know anything) and who was rude and dismissive.

Take it from the other negative reviews and go anywhere else.
