If you're in Orange County and your home was built before the mid-70's, bookmark Santa Ana Circuit Breaker. There's a good chance your breaker panel is obsolete and you won't find a compatible breaker at the big box stores. But Santa Ana Circuit Breaker stocks pretty much everything -- I've called them with half a dozen different 60's era breakers and they've had it every time.

I showed up with my old circuit breaker and the new Home Depot's breaker. The gentleman at the counter asked me about the problem. I told him that my breaker smelled like smoke, didn't work and I got the replacement from Home Depot that it didn't work either. The man took a look and said the universal breaker that I got from Home Depot should work. He said the old circuit breaker brand that I have would cost around $70. He then tested my breaker and said there was nothing wrong with mine either. This man was very honest from the start. Not only he didn't try to sell me his circuit breaker, but he also went beyond and beyond by helping me testing my old circuit and gave me my missing screw for free. There are not too many great people go and beyond like this man. If I could give 10 stars, I would. Thank you so much Santa Ana Circuit Breaker.

They know their stuff, the staff is helpful but lazy, the would not track down a component for me. But they did refer me to the company that had it.
