At sixteen, I began by sweeping floors and tagging along with my father on jobs during a time when that was typical. About 40 years ago, I worked on the roof of an Edison site in Corona at just ten years old; back then, there were fewer rules that made it feasible. Now, the landscape has changed significantly; we have guidelines for almost all aspects of our work.
For many years, I handled installations in commercial and residential environments, then shifted to service work, concentrating on larger refrigeration systems like wineries and packing facilities. Today, I focus on discovering the best products and service practices to improve what we deliver to you, our valued clients.

Recommended Customer Reviews
Very impressive with their customer service and quality of work. Denise, the person I spoke with to setup the appointment was friendly and gave me reminders call as promised. Ken the AC technician was respectful, friendly, knowledge, honest, and did a great job. I will definitely be calling them for my AC needs in the future.
Mary B.I am most thankful for this company's great service. They sent a technician (Kyle)over to tuneup my AC. He did an awesome job.
Highly recommended!
Thank you so much Kyle, you are the best
I'm afraid these guys are dishonest. I had a technician come out to perform preventative maintenance. After the service he informed me that a component in the A/C system outside was going bad. He said ""I have another one in the truck if you want me to replace it."" It cost somewhere between $350 and $400. Six or eight months later a different technician came out to perform preventive maintenance. After the service he informed me that there were tears in the ductwork and quoted me $3,000 to replace all the Ducts. I declined. A few minutes later he came in and said there was a component going bad in the A/C unit Outside. He said "" I have another one in the truck if you want me to replace it."" It's cost somewhere between $350 and $400. A few days later, upon reflection, I realized that was the same component which had been replaced 6 or 8 months ago by the other technician. Since then I only use Burgeson's for all of my preventive maintenance and service. They have never tried to sell me anything extra and, oh by the way, they said the ductwork is fine. I would like to think that it was only a dishonest technician and not the company itself.
Mike D.What a great company!!! I called them on a Saturday morning because my AC went out on Friday night. They promptly came out and fixed the problem. Even though it was extra for the after hour service, it was still very reasonable!!! To top it off, if you join their protection plan, you save even more!!! Great deal all around!!!
The service technician was great. He explained everything along the way and gave me the prices up front, sort of. I had a refrigerant leak so he couldn't quote the price to repair in advance of the leak check, nor could he tell me the amount it would cost for the refrigerant. He estimated about $850 and explained that it was based on a guess that the system would take 4 pounds of refrigerant. His price was $114 for the first pound and $33 per pound thereafter. The system took 11 pounds/$440! $230 more than anticipated.
I was hoping they would offer some sort of discount as a goodwill gesture because of how far off the estimate was. Or at least a quantity discount. The technician said that he couldn't help me with that and recommended I call the office.
Before I called I made a quick check online and found that the cost of the refrigerant is as little as $10/pound, while they had charged me on average $40/pound, a whopping 400% markup!
I called the office and spoke with Nate. He said the price was final and they knew their prices were competitive because they shopped their competition. Disappointing to say the least.
Bottom line: I believe they do good work, but they could be a little more generous with such a high margin item when they miss their refrigerant estimate by nearly three-fold.

A note about the comments below:
It is not true that the 5/18 call was a courtesy call. In fact, the repair was not complete and I was explicitly asked not to use the AC until he had come back to finish filling and checking the unit. He also was supposed to bring and install some insulation that he recommended. That has still not been done.
Update
The insulation was installed 5/24.
Tracy G.During the recent hot spell, my air conditioning stopped working. After doing a bit of research online, I called Sanborn's. Not only did they come out the next day, they called to see if they could come earlier. My serviceman was Pete, and he was polite, courteous and professional. He explained what was wrong, showed me the options I had, and the benefits of each choice. He ended up replacing 2 fuses, and a switch with a blackened, corroded contact. He also cleaned the entire unit, which was filthy with dirt, dust, pollen and dog hair. I was extremely pleased with the service, the attitude, and the price. I definitely highly recommend Sanborn's.
Have not had any work done as decisions are yet to be made, so this review is based only on initiall contact. In the process of shopping for a new hvac system, I contacted Sanborn's for a quote. Nate came out and did a complete inspection of the existing system - including climbing into the dreaded attic to assess the existing furance and ducting. After taking into consideration my concerns and wishes for how a new system would perform, Nate thoroughly explained options for achieving a more reliable and comfortable hvac set-up while considering energy conservation. He very patiently answered my questions; perhaps of all the different contractors I have met with, Nate took the most time and explained in detail what I needed to know to feel confident that I could make better choices. Thank you, Nate, for that - I really appreciated your patience! If the product line offered is the one you desire, I feel sure that Sanborn's would be a great contractor to work with.
Gayle F.We've had a service contract with Sanborn's for several years now, since becoming disenchanted with the firm that originally installed our HVAC unit many years ago. We've had a couple of repairs in recent years to our 20-year-old system but the technicians were always very clear with their explanations and presenting our options. Two weeks ago our heat exchanger ruptured increasing the CO2 danger and we decided it was time for a new, modern system. Pete (not sure of his position title) helped us secure financing (interest-free!) and provided portable heaters for the few days until the installation.
The techs were ALL so professional, arrived pretty much on-time and stayed late if necessary. Derek came over to clarify what I thought was a problem with the new thermostat, and we've been delighted ever since.
We will continue to use Sanborn's for all our HVAC needs and encourage readers to do the same.
Tonia C.The experience from start to finish is the best. Their salesman was on point and wasn't hit with any unexpected charges. Did a very thorough job at explaining everything from start to finish. To top it off the workmanship was exactly what the salesman stated. Work done on budget on time hassle free. I will continue using and referring Sanborns Heating & Air.
Christine P.Had an excellent experience with Sanborn. I had an urgent matter that needed to be attended to immediately after regular business hours. I called and they had a technician out to the house within an hour on a Saturday evening. The technician fixed the issue and got it back up and running in no time. The issue happened at my vacation rental home and could have hurt my business had this not been addressed timely. The guest was very happy that the issue was address and solved quickly. I am a happy customer and will be returning with more business.
