I contacted Norman, the San Mateo Handyman, when I had a leaky valve behind my toilet. He quickly diagnosed the problem over the phone, informing me that the source was the toilet angle valve. He put me in touch with Robert, one of his business partners. Robert came by the next day, and replaced the valve with a new flexible valve (much more likely to withstand an earthquake). He gave me a package deal, also repairing the soft-close toilet seat, which would have cost much more if I replaced the entire toilet seat (the only option the toilet manufacturer offered).

Both Norman and Robert are expert handymen, with decades of experience. They are both very professional, friendly, and down to earth. I happily and fully recommend them both.

I give Norman a 5 Star because of his genuine nature to help. I called Norman on a property that I managed in San Mateo because the ceiling fan didn't work, and he showed up with the determination of providing the best customer service. It's hard enough to find someone to do the ""small jobs"", but it's impossible to find someone to do them with a great attitude and fair pricing. After checking out all the possible cause of the fan not working, Norman fixed it by simply exchanging the batteries on the remote, and guess what? He didn't charge me...what kind of handyman does that?? I would definitely work with Norman from now on!

He asked if work was emergency (which it was not) and he called my mother next day, went to her home and installed some light bulbs while he assessed work she needed. I had several tasks around the house (faucet that was loose, faucet fixture that needed to be replaced, front door that had settled and locking was difficult, base for sliding closet doors needed replacement, outlets not working, etc.) that I had Norman come out to do. He came and completed all the work as promised. He's very meticulous and takes a lot of pride in completing the job in a thorough manner. He also is very honest and doesn't oversell on what he can deliver. I would definitely use him again.

Norman was amazing to work with. We had an urgent need to fix our side garage door, since an open space was allowing rodents in. Norman called me back immediately and came over the next day to fix the job, understanding the urgency we had. He also did a great job fixing a closet light, and door lock.
