The power went out in my office a few weeks ago. I flipped the circuit breaker and it didn't work. It was 3pm and I had 3 more operating hours. My staff started calling around on her cell phone (phone was out too). It was just a mess. We called many places and No one was available that day or for the rest of the week. The calling continued to day two and I found San Mateo Handyman. Norman understood my urgency. And sent someone that day. I was the last customer squeezed in after a full days work. There was communication through the day as to his expected arrival time. I appreciated that very much. He solved the problem in less than 15 minutes- easy for the professional right? Since they charge by the hour he asked me what else can he do? I expected he would want to go home but glad he asked. I had a non urgent wiring issue that he started to work on, which took far longer than the original power outage problem.

Norman was knowledgeable and probably saved me a few thousand dollars. He came over and figured out where leak was coming from and quoted me a great price. Came back the following week and repaired leak and water damage to ceiling. Would highly recommend. Common sense guy with a fair price for his services. This review is long overdue. Like most Yelpers, my experience with Norman was extremely positive. Needed a semi-urgent kitchen sink repair, and found Norman on Yelp. His respond was prompt, and very clear on what kind of information is needed.
During the estimate, he is very thorough about what happened to the sink, and the work needed to be done and the cost. Everything is upfront and clear, and he answer all questions asked, and explain those we didn't ask. :-)
It's very hard to find a handyman nowadays that is both skillful and honest, I highly recommend Norman.

In a time where it is nearly impossible to reach a handyman directly much less get swift responses and actual follow-up...Norman has shown he is anything g but typical! We needed help with electrical work and not only did Norman listen to our needs, he actually referred us to someone who could better serve our needs (this job required an urgent and complex electrical repair)...but Norman actually called the other company personally and followed up with us directly to ensure we received a response and then two days later he called to ensure we were taken care of!
Norman was truly looking out for our best interests to resolve the issue not just charge us for work he would ultimately need to refer elsewhere.
We know Norman can perform an array of services as a handyman from basic house repairs, painting and plumbing he is also a person of integrity and trustworthy! He listens and executed to his word!!! Sadly soft skills with service trades is more often than not a lost craft in and of itself.
