As the hot weather was upon us, I went to turn on the air conditioner for the first time in my new house. I was distraught to discover that the AC did not seem to work. I checked the fuses and everything seemed to be ok. So I called an HVAC company to take a look. They determined that the problem was electric and referred me to Mike and San Mateo Electric. Mike agreed to see me first thing the next morning. He arrived on time and was extremely professional. Mike diagnosed the problem quickly--there was no power running to the AC and that it had been disconnected from the main panel. Mike had the AC running again in a few hours. I think his pricing is fair and is a value based on MIke's professionalism and expertise. I would use them again.

Had a major electical problem going on in my house (too hard to explain here). I called an electrician that set an appointment and flaked on me two times. Then my neighbor recommended SAN MATEO ELECTRIC. I called at 7:00pm on a Friday night and the owner actually answered the phone, listened to my problem and even offered to come that night. We decided on a SATURDAY MORNING appointment. He called in the morning, said he was on his way, assessed the problem very quickly, fixed it with ease, and even pointed out a couple other potential problems. He was VERY reasonably price, prompt, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable. I will definitely use him again and will pass on the recommendation to anyone that needs a quality electrician.

Mike at San Mateo Electric does a great job. He's on time, does what he says he's going to do and lets me know if there are any other problems that need to be dealt with. They're not the cheapest electricians out there, but you get what you pay for - quality work without worrying your house is going to burn down!
