we live in Rossmoor & our heat exchanger has not been working for quite some time, most notably for cooling in the summer; impressed by comments/reviews on Nextdoor, we called Sam to come take a look; he seemed quite approachable/friendly & made a house call the next day; after working on our heat exchanger for over half an hour, he told me he could not fix as he was not familiar with such units (he thought the unit's fan not working?); he then would not accept any payment for the time & travel spent, as he could not repair! I have not experienced such integrity in recent times! (he grudgingly did accept some home-grown peaches to assuage my guilt); anyway, I agree with all the posted reviews & would highly recommend using his services in the future!

Sam literally rescued us from 104 degree heat! Called him for a second opinion for a broken AC at 920a and he was able to come at 1130a that day! He was extremely diligent and methodical in evaluating the problem and correctly diagnosed it. It was not the same diagnosis or recommendation as my first consultation, and I will say that Sam was super honest, fast and extremely fair-priced. I don't want to say anything negative about my first consultation but I was told that I would need to pay thousands of dollars for a complete replacement that prob would not get installed for another week or two. Instead, Sam repaired it the same day at a fraction of the cost! I am so glad to have found a trustworthy person I can call on! And my AC is running great!!! Thank you Sam!!!

AC repair... our air conditioner went out and I called a few places who wanted $300-$350 to replace the capacitor which is a 10 minute job and an inexpensive part, so I looked on Nextdoor and saw positive comments for Sam Liu (925)336-2628. I sent him a text early this morning and he swiftly responded and said he could fit me in and be out in a few hours. He showed up, replaced the capacitor and found another small issue that he fixed and our AC is now working. His fee was reasonable, he was very professional, and seems like a nice guy. It's 107 out and our AC and power go out almost one after another. Desperate to find someone to help, we tried multiple HVAC services in the past but all of them didn't do emergency services or would come out next day.

Sam to the rescue! We found his number on NextDoor and decided to give him a try.

Sam responded right away via call and after explaining the problem, he was able to schedule a quick response appointment.

Replaced a fuse, capacitor, and checked coolant, and we were off and running. He even showed me how the capacitor was going and why the fuse blew. Was very reasonable in cost and was in and out.

Doesn't do duct work, but does also work on furnaces.

Definitely gained another customer for life.

Yesterday was about 105 degrees in Walnut Creek and the evening was in the high 80s. My air conditioner quit working which made for a very hot and long night. This morning at 8 am I called Sam, and he responded immediately. He arrived at noon on another hot day, about 106 degrees, and Sam quickly diagnosed the problem and resolved it. In less than an hour he was done.

Great responsiveness to my initial call, arrived on time, friendly and patient as I asked many questions, and efficiently resolved the problem.

Sam is very knowledgeable and responsive. We had him check our HVAC last November and again last week for an AC unit issue. Both times he was able to figure out the root cause of the problems. On top of that his charges are very reasonable! We will use him again should we have any HVAC or AC issues.

It doesn't get any better than Sam for AC service. He is very knowledgable and reasonable. I just had him over to fix my AC and he is my guy for life. I have tried other local companies, ones with service contracts, never again. One Company told the part needed was about $125, plus the fee to install it. I found the part online for $17 dollars. If you want reliable, honest service, Sam Liu is the guy.
