Salt N Light (SNL) is a unique electrical company that is committed to excellence, trustworthiness, and customer care. It goes without saying therefore that their pricing is absolutely honest and fair. Our sizeable work order included a complete replacement of a Low Voltage system, a panel upgrade to 200 amp with permit, trouble shooting and fixing all anomalies with various lighting, wiring, switches, and outlets in the house, attic, garage, and outside the house with various lights. Additionally, every electrical violation inside the house, outside the house, and in the garage were brought up to code. Although the work order took longer than we would have liked, SNL is ABSOLUTELY worth it! SNL is committed to getting at the root of each electrical problem rather than merely bandaging or ignoring it. We were thrilled with how SNL completed each task in the contract with honesty and integrity. And we were thoroughly impressed with how every question and concern we had were patiently and respectfully answered from start to finish. So, what drives SNL? Matthew 5:16 (NKJV)! Contacting Salt N Light Electric and speaking with Matthew was very easy. Joseph Raus came to the house, diagnosed and replaced a light switch. He also did some electrical work in the garage. Joseph was very polite and knowledgeable. The work was done properly. This is very important when dealing with electrical issues.

Salt N Light Electric are true professionals and honest folks. I hired them to install a NEMA 14-50 for EV charging. Matt was responsive and helpful in evaluating my project. Most importantly Matt was honest about the work that needed to be done. He did not unnecessarily recommend a panel upgrade thinking I wouldn't know any better (too many electricians I contacted did this without even doing a load calculation). I have 200 amp service, did a load calculation, have space in my main panel, and looked at 1 year of SCE data to understand my house's peak amperage draw. I knew for a fact I did not need a panel upgrade to support EV charging. This is how I know Matt and his crew are honest folks.

On install day Joseph and Samuel showed up as scheduled to do the work. They were very clear in communicating what they were going to do and took the time to confirm my preferences in terms of conduit placement. They also went above and beyond by using proper high quality materials, i.e. an industrial grade NEMA 14-50 receptacle, correctly sized #6 THHN copper wires, and 3/4"" EMT conduit. This allows me to upgrade to a higher power 48 amp EV charger in the future without needing to redo the wiring. Joseph and Samuel performed a clean install and left the job site clean. I'm more than happy with the end result.

I would not hesitate to work with Salt N Electric again. They are a truly professional and honest crew that clearly take pride in their work.

Power went out! OH NO! It was 2:30pm and power went out in our office for an area with 6 work stations. We needed someone to come out ASAP. I called a few places and nobody could come that same day (understandably). There was one company that said they would show up at 4pm, but didn't. I had called Matthew previously, and although he was in the area, he was not available until the next morning. I then sent him a text and he said he would show up at 8am the next day, which he did. It was a very quick fix (tripped breaker), but he did a more thorough review and provided some suggestions to prevent this from happening again. Matthew provided regular communication via text/email. He was very polite and provided excellent customer service. Definitely recommend!

I had to install a sub panel and run a line to my garage on the other side of the house to install a car charger. I chose Salt N Light based on Yelp reviews, and I was not disappointed. They gave a clear estimate well ahead of the scheduled day, provided great communication about when the day was and reminders. Showed up exactly on time the day of. Trevor and Sam were courteous, diligent, and clearly communicated to me throughout the process. Job appears really well done, they left the place cleaner than what they got here. I could not be more pleased and will definitely be calling on them again for any future electrician needs. Could not recommend more highly.
