I recommend to stay away from this company. We had an appointment last week (after waiting TWO weeks), they called me the night before saying they couldn't make it and to postpone it to the following week, which was today. They didn't answer to my calls yesterday to confirm that they would come this morning as agreed. I tried to reach out them thus early morning too and then I just received a text message saying that they couldn't make it. We have been waiting for them for THREE weeks with all the wires in the house. We lost a lot of time just beacuse of their awful way to treat customers. Don't trust them. Stay away from Safeway Electric in San Diego

Answer to the company's post: I understand that the situation is not normal, we all feel it. I just think that communication is key and better talk before than later. Others told us ""we don't know if we can, we cannot give you an appointment now"". I'm really the most thoughtful person, and the man I spoke to was even a nice guy, but saying after almost three weeks that it's not a work you usually do and even not calling the second time saying you couldn't come is somethink to avoid even in these weird times. I hope my review is viewed in a constructive way to improve communication and even say ""we can't"", instead of saying ""we can"" and then not come. This review wasn't on the results of the job, maybe you're the best electrician in San Diego! It was just about service and communication which is easy to improve. I wish you the best!

I needed to have a ceiling fan installed in a location where there was no existing ceiling fixture or electricity. I was fortunate enough to find Safeway Electric. I am sure we all know just how much of a shot in the dark it is to find reliable, fairly priced service providers. I hit the jackpot!
Andrew was the first contact I had in the office and he was courteous and very responsive in scheduling the job and going over a price range I might expect to pay for the work. JD the electrician was amazing. He was so thorough and took such care to do a fantastic job. He even left everything spotlessly clean. He is also one of the nicest guys. I was so happy with this experience that I had to share it.

Would have given five stars but there was something wrong with the 14-50 plug they installed. Andrew had his team fix it right away, no questions asked and everything is working great now.

I have used Safeway several times for my commercial buildings in Oceanside. Each time I was very happy with the service, response, knowledge, speed of repair, and price. I also have told friends about them and each time I only heard good things.
I had a tenant who was doing some TI improvments and using another electricain. That contractor was unable to solve a problem with the panel and said the cost to do so would be about 2-3 thousand. I asked Safeway to step in and they solved the problem for less than a few hundred dollars.
