I haven't worked with a contractor as talented, knowledgable and professional as Sergio. He's in a class of contractors that's a rarity to find. If you want your project done the right way, not the sloppy way, then Sergio and his crew will absolutely deliver.

SD Construction Works has done a variety of projects for me, for example, flooring, electrical, full bathroom remodel, installed doors, new fencing, patio cover, etc. I have been ecstatically pleased by the quality of their craftsmanship, intergrity and reasonable prices. I trust and appreciate Sergio's judgement so much that I often ask him for input before starting new projects as well as to fix work done by prior contractors. I have even waited for his schedule to open up instead for hiring someone else becuase the likely stress and fustration of dealing with another contractor, unlikely to be of the same caliber wasn't worth it for me.

I sincerely appreciate that he likes to share his knowlege by clearing and thoroughly explaining each project with respect to options and possible complications. He's also extremely aware and proactive, for instance, Sergio will point out other issues beyond the scope of the project at hand.

In short, if you want to keep the phrase ""I regret hiring..."" in your vocabulary hire another contractor, if not hire SD Construction Works. And you too will experience the novelty of contractors showing up on time.

Our project was to remodel/finish our very rough 1968 garage. Even though it seemed straightforward we wanted to hire a general contractor to save ourselves the complication of finding and hiring each individual trade. When the first general we interviewed pointed out all the complications and problems (there were a lot) and quoted us 12K not including the floor or cabinets we realized it was a bigger job than we realized.

Thank goodness the next person we called was Sergio. Having been through two entire house remodels we have seen the good and the bad of contractors; our last general contractor was amazing but sadly retired a few years back. Sergio meets every single criteria we have for a top notch general contractor.

- His work is very high quality and he can do it all; he's even a certified electrician
- He's licensed and insured, which matters a lot to us
- His prices are extremely reasonable, less than half of the first quote we received
- He's super punctual and fantastic with communication, such a hard quality to find in contractors
- He's a very dedicated and hard worker. On a Friday his helper didn't make it to work and one of our ancient water shutoff valves broke (not his fault). He stayed working at our house until after 7pm to complete the work he had promised for the week in addition to fixing the valve which wasn't even in his original scope of work.
- There's no pressure to do work you don't want to have done. He's great about noticing little details and pointing out all your options, making sure you're happy with your final product, but it's totally up to you what to have done or what to skip.

On top of everything else he came to the rescue when the epoxy floor specialist we hired flaked on us the morning they were supposed to come out and do the floor. He ended up doing the epoxy himself and it turned out great. The project was finished a few days ago and we couldn't be happier. Usually in my contractor Yelp reviews I try and give the good and the bad, but I truly can't think of anything negative to say about this company. I was so pleased I referred them to my sister for a bathroom remodel. Absolutely recommend!
