Our doorbell transformer needed replaced as our 'smart' doorbell was ringing on its own every 15 minutes in the middle of the night. Contacted Russell that morning and he was at the house that afternoon to replace the transformer. Love having a reliable, knowledgable person that responds to customers and shows up to do the work. We will definitely have Russell Flood Electric back to work on other electrical needs.

I live in a very old home (1936). My husband calls the wiring Winchester Mystery House as the modern world needs for electrical plugs meant there was splicing all over and under the house, from basement to attic.
I've have had safety concerns since I moved in 7 years ago. The old connections had been systematically wearing out. If I used the microwave, clothes washer or dishwasher at the same time, I had to go out and reset the overloaded 15 amp switch.
Finally, I couldn't take it any longer. Russel came out and quoted 5 days to do the work along with an estimate. As I was having Russell bring our entire home into current compliance, Well, it took 10 days and the estimate only changed when I added onto the order (bathroom fan installation, replace two ceiling fans, etc.) He ran into a lot of issues with a custom made home that was overbuilt as far as firebreaks and lath and plaster walls and ceilings.
Now I can use any and all appliances at one time without issues and more importantly, I can now sleep soundly.
Russell warranties his work and made sure to tell me he would be my electrician for life so the crazy wiring doesn't happen again. Yay!

Russell is so knowledgeable and incredible professional. He gave us great advice and suggestions for lighting in our master bath. He and his team worked quickly to get our job done, did some extra painting we added on at the end, and cleaned up perfectly. They did dry wall repair and changed our exhaust fan as well. I wish I had more work for them! OI highly recommend him.

I highly recommend Russell Flood for electrical work. I hired Russell to add a light fixture in my bathroom (included wiring and drywall repair) and I also update the other lights to led. He provided clear communication on the work, necessary time, and estimate for cost. He finished in under the time. And all work was done exceptional.

The worst customer service ever. I own a condo at the Broadway Grand in Oakland. My experience with this electrician was terrible. After showing up 45 minutes late and showing him the lights which needed repairing, he fixed one, and then informed me he would have to leave and get more parts at the store. I was charged an hour of his time for this lack of preparation. The hallway lights were never even repaired after showing him these immediately inside the front door upon his arrival. When I called to ask Russell about this, he immediately got defensive and began raising his voice at me, barking at me that their ""were laws to protect him"". His response was startling and highly unprofessional, as I was simply inquiring about the work he ""had done"" and had left me no invoice with the breakdown. His office called me to insure me an invoice was on the way. That was over six weeks ago. I have left two other messages asking for an invoice, and still no response. Save yourself the headache, and find an alternative to this business.

Russell is truly fantastic. A solid electrician in terms of expertise, responsiveness and affordability is a rarity these days and Russell combines all three. Russell installed two fans (one living room, one bedroom), 4 ceiling lights - nicely spaced around one of the fans, and a new closet light in a one-bedroom condo in Downtown Oakland. His team had to do all the rewiring, as the place was not built out for ceiling wiring. From first email to final handshake, Russell was professional, attentive to detail and a great communicator. His team did a phenomenal job cleaning and was extremely timely at the start of the day also! Russell is in increasing demand, so I recommend getting on his calendar as soon as you can if you are looking to do a lighting or ceiling fan upgrade. Whether a one-room job or a large one, Russell is your guy. Strong recommend!

I have used Russell's services multiple times. Today, his team installed a hugger ceiling fan with an LED light above my stairway landing. His team knows what they are doing from our condo codes to how make the aesthetic clean. They are very trustworthy, prompt and extremely service oriented. I highly recommend them.

Russell has worked quite a lot in our building. When I had him install new ceiling can lights, a ceiling fan, and retrofit my fluorescent and halogen lights with LEDS, I found out why.

He reviewed the work with me ahead of time, he and his crew showed up when he said they would, they cleaned up after themselves, and the work is very professional. His prices are reasonable.

In my work life I hire many contractors and I know that not all of them hold to the high standards that Russell does.

I'm very happy with the work he did.
