I've been meaning to write a review of Ray at RS Electric for over a year now, and I'm glad I'm finally able to do it. I called RS Electric when I was doing my total kitchen remodel and living/dining update last year - after having already called a couple of other electricians. Ray's prices were very reasonable, and was able to look through the mess of all of my hanging electrical wires in the kitchen and clearly understand what I was going for. (my kitchen remodel required totally changing the location of outlets and switches, all new wiring for running recessed lighting, etc.) I also wanted to run all new wiring through my existing ceilings to add recessed lighting in my dining and living room. Ray was excellent in every way. I didn't see any corner cutting, he got the job done quickly, I felt totally comfortable leaving a key under my mat for him to help himself into my home while I was at work. Here we are a year later, I'm still just as happy with his work as I was when he first completed everything. One more thing, he offered to come back to my home after I had re-installed my sheetrock to hook up all of my switches and outlets at no additional cost. When he did come back, he was happy to help, and even wired my new dishwasher for me. I was very impressed and would absolutely call Ray back for my future remodels. Thanks, Ray!

I set up an appointment and had to call when he was a no show. I wasn't happy. But his earlier customer added some additional things to his work so he was running late. He arrives and does a fantastic job of installing my kitchen lights so I asked him to fix another lighting issue. Again, fantastic job.
I would use him again, just have to be patient with his schedule, He is worth the wait.

I called Ray a couple weeks ago to get a quote on replacing an electrical panel. Then I went out of town for a while. The problem was worse when I got back and I called Ray back to let him know. He came out the next morning and replaced the panel, and he honored the original quote. He even came back the next day to replace a part that was behind the meter and not part of the original estimate just because he thought it needed to be replaced. I will definitely call Ray again if I have any more electrical needs!

Ray called ahead, came on time, got everything taken care of quickly and well-done. We needed an outside disconnect box replaced and re-wiring the AC unit. He charged me exactly what he quoted, no games, no shortcuts, no up-selling. I will use this company again.

Totally unprofessional!. I called him( Ray) yesterday gave him my situation and address he said he would be here by 10am and that he would call me in the morning. He called at 9:46 to say he would be here in 45 min. at 10:23 he called back to say he thought I was close by to him. I told him I was on the southeast part of town and off the beltway. in the first call. According to the map on Yelp we are well within the area he serves. My impression is that he did not want to come at the last min he just wanted to get out of it and he got his wish....If I were you unless you are in his zip code and even then don't bother to call this unprofessional business.

I called Ray to help me install some coax lines from my attic to my wiring closet in preparation for my cable installation. Ray was very good with communication, he called back when he said he would and also called me 30 minutes before our appointment to confirm. Ray showed up on time and he and his helper were very easy to work with. They also wore shoe coverings when walking on our carpet and cleaned up everything before leaving. Pricing was very fair for the work done. I will use RS Electric for any of my needs in the future and wouldnt hesitate to recommend Ray's company to family and friends.

We had a great experience with Ray from RS Electric. We had a minor emergency at 4pm and Ray was available within a couple of hours. He was very knowledgeable, fast and courteous. I would highly recommend RS for anyone in the need of a good electrician.

Earlier this week I called RS Electric to request an appointment for an estimate of work at my home. The appointment time was 9am on Friday - with Ray. So here I sit, at 10am on Friday - no electrician, no phone call. What am I supposed to think? I took 1/2 day off of work (lost wages) for this appointment. If they can't even make it to the first appointment I certainly wouldn't want to work with them on a real job. I'm hoping there's a logical explanation, but until I hear from RS Electric...I think I've just been stood up. Hopefully Yelp won't bury this review like the tend to do - seems the ""Yelp sort"" buries bad reviews. Save yourself disappointment and find another electrician - that's what I'm trying to do right now.

Needed an electrician at the last min. and Ray was available within a few short hrs. He fixed my electrical problem, installed a ceiling fan for me, and gave me helpful advice/suggestions. I didn't shop around for price but his fees are reasonable in my opinion. Thanks for your service Ray!
