To be fair to the staff here, 3 stars for the guys and 0 stars for ""upper management"" this review is for management and not the crew members that deal with the brunt on demands. The Lineman and all the guys that handle jobs, I thank you for being there to keep my lights on. I commend all of your bravery and appreciate your service.

To the management. Tom Pontes and Jason Grace should be watched very carefully. Tom Pontes doesn't have the experience to run crews and should never have gotten the privilege to do so. They take as many shortcuts as they can, not only endangering crew members but the earth itself. There have been oil spills that have been covered up and not reported, safety procedures are over looked in order for Tom ""to keep his budget"" as if he cuts checks outta his own pocket! The man sit in his truck during a rainstorm while the crew tried to get power on and deal with frustrated customers at the same time!
The actual yard politics are as bad as a high school girls lunch hour. They focus on ""he said he said"" stories. Someone needs to check and balance that duo before more people start reporting incidents and Roseville gets in trouble on account of two guys who sugar coat and sweep things under the rug to benefit THEMSELVES. Good luck out there to the employees who have to work under the Sergeant and his sidekick!

Holding my deposit hostage ...ugggh I been a customer for 5 years!!! I have to pay perfect for a year to get it back shady... billing is suspicious. I switched to led bulbs and my bill went up the next bill

The rates are astronomical, and the billing is shady. I personally would not buy in Roseville if it's in their service area.

Worst customer service ever. Said they had warned me by computer generated phone call that my service would be shut off. Shut it off and raced away with the whole family in the house. No attempt to ring the door bell and let anybody know. Paid the tiny amount past due after a long wait on the phone and a few minutes with someone that should never be in any job that requires customer contact. Four hours later they showed up to turn the power back on. Asked the rep why they didn't just go the door and they said they had no time for that. But they had time to make two trips to the house to turn off and back on the power. On top of that one of the family members was taking a shower in a bathroom with no windows and nearly killed themselves getting to the door in the dark. I have a whole new outlook on Roseville Electric and how they run their business. Seems like something that could be very dangerous like shutting off power in mid day should at least require a positive contact with the homeowner. I have never complained about power problems, and we have had our share, but from now on if my service is not absolutely perfect I will be on the phone.

One of the worst customer service experience. I was behind in my bills and assured them I would pay them the next day and they stated "" It doesn't matter, if we don't get payment today your power will be off in the next couple of hours"" and it was extremely cold that day"" . Keep in my mind I was behind two months and I do agree it was my fault, but if I made the attempt to call and say I would pay the following day I think they should be able to accommodate me. Instead of accommodating they gave me an address to call the salvation army....... The lady's tone I received was extremely rude. When I asked to speak to the manager I got a reply back in a very snippy way "" she is going to say the same thing"" . Next year I'm planning on buying a home and I'm planning to move to another location due to this experience.

Horrible horrible service. We are looking to buy a house and we are looking in all surrounding areas EXCEPT Roseville just because we hate Roseville Electric so much. Our friends just bought in Rocklin for the same reason. I have lived in quite a few areas in California and have never had a problem with a power company till Roseville Electric. WORST SERVICE EVER!

I don't normally give the power company a 5 star rating on their first post.....but Roseville Electric (local municipal co) has earned it.

I've been a customer since moving to Roseville in Dec 2008. The power has gone out a couple times (during a bad rain/wind storm) and that's it.

I'd heard bad stories of SMUD's billing/services and was very glad to see Roseville isn't part of that. Their billing is very reasonable and can be done 24/7 via the internet.

I've only used their customer service when I signed up....have had no reason to call them since. And that is what you need from your local power company. Continuous great service so good that you ""take it for granted"" that they will be doing their job.
