Matt and Dominic I think was his name showed up on time as scheduled. They installed 2 ceiling fans and an outdoor light. Best thing is they work on Saturday so I did not have to burn my vacation time. Will be my go to electricians in the future.

He's installed fans and lighting and has done plenty of repairs like our electrical for our sprinklers and issues with our panel. This is our go to electrician!!

Called Roper Electric needing someone to come out the same day and repair outlets that were not working in our vacation rental. Matt met me there within an hour, was very professional and courteous and replaced a breaker within 20 minutes. He checked to make sure outlets were working and gave me some tips on space heaters. Excellent customer service and I will definitely use Matt the next time anything happens!

Matt the owner just fixed my outlets issue and he wouldn't charge me because it was just the breaker that jumped. I asked him to replace the ground fault circuit interrupter but he said it wasn't necessary. The best thing was that he returned my call within an hour, and squeezed me in between his other appointments when I didn't want to wait till this weekend. Yes, he works on weekends too!

I had Roper Electric come out to my place a while ago for a small project I'd rather leave to the pros, and figured I'd do my due diligence and comment on my experience with these guys (sorry about the late review, Matt). Will someone please explain to me the level of discrimination against ceiling fans here in the San Diego area? Almost everywhere I have lived in San Diego, ceiling fans and overhead lighting seem to be a luxury. For a place with such ""wonderful"" weather and the amount of homes that don't come with a/c, you'd think a ceiling fan would be standard. Absolutely not. Not in San Diego, Mission Valley, East County, or North County! I installed the majority of the ceiling fans in my new home and contacted Matt to handle the one with the vaulted ceiling, and he did a phenomenal job. He was punctual and professional, which sets him apart from the competition. I will be calling him again for a few other projects in the near future for sure

Matt Roper is great at what he does, honest also. So far we have had him install 2 ceiling fans, a fan in our master bath, and a 50 amp outlet for our RV. We are going to have him return soon to do more work for us. We would not use any other electrician to do our work!

I needed an electrician to troubleshoot outlets that were not working in a home we recently bought in Vista. Not knowing anyone up here, I turned to Yelp to help me find an electrician with a good reputation. I chose Roper based on the reviews here and I feel very fortunate to have done so.

I called on a Sunday and even so, Matt (the owner) returned my call within 2 hours to set up an appointment for later in the week. He arrived on time, looked professional and took the time to listen to the list of problems we were having. He got to work sourcing the problem and found it within 10 minutes! This was amazing to me since it was in issue we had been living with for over 6 months and couldn't figure out.

Matt showed me the problem and fixed it right away. He was also able to show me several other items that were either not done to code (by the previous owner) or could be a safety issue. There was never any scare tactics or pressure to do extra work, he just explained what he was showing me in everyday language which I definitely appreciate.

We will be upgrading to a 200 amp panel soon and Matt was able to give me a quote and walk me through the process that day as well. I'll definitely be using Roper Electric for all electrical needs we have and have recommended him to several other people as well.

I had Matt out to inspect electrical on a house I was buying. For the inspection I would give him 5 stars because he did show up for the inspection and there was no charge for the inspection. He was polite and helpful. He identified some short comings and answered questions.

I explained that I had rewired two houses myself but I do not want to work off of a main panel. The main panel in this house also was the panel for most of the house circuits so the panel always has power to it.

So I wanted a quote for pulling power off of the 150A breaker to a new sub-panel. I could pull a permit and take it from there.

I was told I would get a quote shortly via email. Nothing came, we went to closing anyhow, After closing I called and left a message to please provide the quote....Nothing. I left a third message....still nothing.

So if you dont want to do business with someone for what ever reason, say so. Don't just walk away. That was unprofessional.
