Jan of 2019 Greens installed the HVAC in my new home. Here we are in March 2022 and I need service. Greens says they are not doing any service calls on units out of warranty. Are you kidding me?

I had Green Install a new Lenox Heat Pump in my home in 2010. They failed to communicate to me that the unit needed to be registered with Lenox nor did they register the unit which reduced my warranty from 10 to 5 years. 7 years later, my compressor went out and now I am stuck with a 4,700 dollar bill. They claimed that they were not aware of the need to register the unit at that time?? Several other HVAC companies in our area said that they register the units they install and that Green should of been aware of this.
