I have used Roger's Electric for a few of my electrical needs around our house. They first added a new circuit box and outlets for our downstairs AC window units and dryer. They also upgraded the circuit that was feeding our downstairs outlets and lights and it was a good thing too because the cloth wire insulation that was feeding crumbled when they replaced it! Saved us from a future fire.

The most recent jobs was upgrading our upstairs to code by adding a new circuit box, outlets, lights, switches, and wiring. Their work was consistently clean and they finished the work quickly. We needed new AC units for upstairs so they installed two split system units; one for the bedroom and the other for the living room and kitchen. My sister was impressed with the install. In the future I may need to use them to finish the downstairs once it is ready and possibly install a backup generator.

rating After posting a review in September 2016 I called and called Roger and as usual was told ""Max will call you back"" No return call from Max or Roger. Save your money and don't use this company. I had the wiring worked on in 2008 and the permit is still open.

This company will take your money and not complete their contract.
I can't believe they are still in business. I will be taking them to court.

We used them when we built our house years ago and now we are dealing with their shoddy work. My husband discovered when we redid our bathrooms that the some wire work was not even grounded! WTF!! Even now we're dealing with sockets that don't work and lights that don't go off.

The truth is if there was a negative 100 star that's what I would rate this company. In fact we are still dealing with them
As I'm writing this review and I don't think they even care but I'm writing this review to warn others who may want to use this company... Please please stay away from this company. Here is a list of the things that are completely awful about this company this is a long one..

1. They don't have a journeyman that comes to the job. Different guys all the time and they don't communicate so they miss things and they have No idea what the person before did.
2. Roger the owner NEVER answers his phone and his mailbox is always full. He also doesn't answer your texts.
3. Their work is below standards.. Crooked outlets and open boxes that they left open because they didn't even know it was there.
4. His right hand man ""Max"" is nice but has no authority to send guys so that doesn't help.
5. His wife answers the phone and tells me that she doesn't know why they can't come to the house and finish the job and takes no responsibility. She's hung up the phone on me several times after she tell me to be patient. Tells me she doesn't know why the workers didn't show up today?!
6. Roger came maybe 3 times to see the property and the progress.. Thank God we have the state inspector taking a look at everything and that they are insured.
7. ZERO professionalism Negative 100 Zero professionalism. Once Roger came and was wearing a hat side ways (like a teenager) with knee high shorts and a Tshirt. He came with his lunch Kentucky fried chicken. He opened my very pricey bifold doors and sat at the edge of the door eating his meal?! Who does that and doesn't even ask the owner if that's okay? We have an island that he can eat on.
8. You feel like you're working for them.. Literally.. The wife that answers the phone said for me ""owner"" to see if the outlet works by plugging something in the outlets to see if there is power?!! Seriously! Isn't that their job?
9. Most important: I called other companies in desperation to finish the job and when you mention their name the other end is silent and says they can't help because well.. Rogers electric & maintenance has issues with the state having open permits and not closing them. I spoke with the electrical board president and he felt bad for me because he has heard horror stories about this company
10. I have been trying the last three weeks to get them to come out and check the outlets because I discovered that 1 doesn't work when I tried to vacuum. No texts no response no nothing except excuses.. I will be writing to RICO to try and get something going..

Please stay far far away from this company just ask around and you'll see.. Don't take a chance.
