I am giving two stars instead of one because the people are friendly and timely. But their quote was so extremely out the ordinary (nearly 3 times my highest bid) I felt a need to write a review about it.

My job request was to run a line (20 feet) for an outdoor light switch and plug to a backyard artificial turf sports area I built. There is an electrical box (source ) from my spa very close to the location (approx. 20 feet), which made the work very minimal. I always get 3 or 4 estimates for every job, THREE of them were VERY similar around $5-600., but one Rockwall Electric gave a quote for $1620.00, and then charged me $69.00 for a service call (none of the others charged me for an estimate). I was completely flabbergasted by their estimate and asked them to wave the service call fees since they were so completely out of context compared to the other bids. They denied my request and also the service technician would not honor the 5% military discount I was told I would receive. I will say the technician was very polite and tried to address my concerns with the owner to no avail.

I ended up using Barney Electics ($550.00) and highly recommend him.

My experience with Rockwall Electric was phenomenal. I did price the job with all local vendors and was given the best price. Both Dwyane and Jacob went above and beyond getting my ceiling fan installed despite my tall 25 foot ceiling, even taking the time reinforce my heavy fan through the attic. I highly recommend Rockwall Electric to anyone looking for an expert installation at a reasonable cost. I will certainly only use Rockwall Electric in the future as they made me, and more importantly my wife very happy with their outstanding workmanship.

Rockwall Electric, service was fast, expensive on parts. They come made repairs and left.

Will NOT use again. Quoted 300+ to replace a ballast. Charged 268 to rewire ballast and install 2 LCD bulbs. I thought was high but went ahead. Took 8 minutes worth of work. Be aware small service fee, they make it up and then some. Later found new 24"" fixture Home depot with bulbs $78.

I used Rockwall Electric twice and will NEVER use them again. Both times they did good work, and I liked the workers and the owner. The problem was their PRICE. Since using them, I've used other electricians and realized that other companies that do excellent work charge a lot less. My $3800 job probably would have cost about half that if I hadn't been so trusting and had gotten bids from other companies. That was an expensive mistake, and one I won't make again. New and existing Rockwall Electric customers would be smart to compare bids to ensure they're not overpaying.
