Found James through a friend. He is the ultimate electrician! Not just an electrical nerd, he is personable, trustworthy, experienced at small and larger issues, seems to manage his projects and timing well. Let me start off by saying I am not one to normally leave reviews unless something goes horribly wrong or incredibly good. I wish I could leave James at Rock Solid Electrical more than five stars.

I found James randomly through a hot tub company, as I needed an electrician to do some work in order to wire my house for a hot tub. At the same time I got two old and obsolete electrical panels replaced and the electrical box on the outside of my house upgraded so it could handle the increased electrical needs of the hot tub. Right from the beginning I could tell James was who I wanted and was professional. His quotes are thoroughly laid out, his in person explanations of what is going to be done are clear to someone like me who is a laymen and he's extremely nice. His work is beyond what I expected and he understands what is code and what needs to happen in order for things to be safe and as they should be. He walked me through the steps as he did them and being as I'm in a 115 year old Victorian, showed me things that were dangerous and should be done now or things that could be done at a later date. I never once felt he was trying to up sell me but rather give me the facts and be honest.

At the end of the above project I was so happy with the work he'd done that I've had him back for a complete kitchen rewiring. Again, everything I explained above happened. Spot on quote, expert work, thorough explanations. Trust me, this is the guy you want to do your electrical.
