steve p.I had Roberts Electric (RECO) do a commercial electric and data project because of a recommendation from a contractor friend. They dealt with the problems of existing wire and legacy systems very well. On the most critical day of the project the had extra people to make sure all went smoothly.
They left the site clean and in good order. Also, they quickly responded to follow up issues.
Christine T.I recently had them install a light on the outside of the garage and fix an older fluorescent bulb light fixture. At first I was very nervous about selecting them to do this job. The first guy who arrived was not up to the task. He was physically impaired and unable to do the job. I believe I clearly described the job when I set the appoint so I was very disappointed to be told after his arrival that he could do the job.
They quickly rescheduled the next appointment, but I received a call prior to their appointed time that the electrician would not be able to come. From my perspective, I was getting even more nervous about choosing them to handle the job.
Finally on the third try, they arrived on time and the electrician completed all tasks required. As others have mentioned, they're not cheap, but from my point of view, I don't want a cheap electrician I want a good, safe, knows their stuff kind of electrician. I'm very satisfied with the outcome even if it was a rocky start.
The electrician they sent arrived with no ID and an hour early with no courtesy call. He stayed 40 minutes and could not fix the problem because he need a piece of common equipment. Before anyone called to re-schedule him, they sent me a bill for $165.00. That was when they told me I was charged with 1/2 hour travel time. This means they charge $125.00 for 1/2 hr worth of work. This charge would be repeated when he came back so I told them not to bother.
Do not use this company!
Lisa M.I've used Roberts Electric for 2 jobs so far, a ceiling lamp replacement and an upgrade of the outlet for my dryer. Both times the electricians were prompt, friendly and did a quality job. I'll use them again for sure.
On 8/28/10 I left a voice-mail message with this company, saying that I was looking for an estimate on adding a couple of new circuits to my home. As of 9/13/10 I have not recieved a call back. Poor business practice.
Great service and value for a numerous projects in our 20,000 sq foot warehouse. High voltage as well as basic 110. We have had some large wire pulls in challenging old existing conduit-- no problem.
Very professional, get the job done. Positive go fet em attitude.
They will be back for the next project!
I spent over 50 years as a union electrician, electrical engineer, and electrical contractor. Roberts Electric was once my competitor. I kept hearing about how good they were. Now, retired from the business, I am one of their satisfied customers. They're honest, ethical, and considering what goes on behind the scenes they're reasonably priced. A friend of mine, also retired from electrical contracting, also uses Roberts Electric. All their electricians, I gather, are good, but Tom is the best of the best. They show up promptly, do a neat job, and hand you a reasonable bill. Then they stand behind their work.
Sneaky and poor billing practices! Quoted one price and billed double without justification! Months later and several calls later, it's still unresolved.
Majid S.A neighbor recommended them to me. We where in a series pinch. A family emergency at the time made me call them at 8:30 am. The lady that answered the phone was very nice after I explained the situation. The guy came by by about11am. And it didn't take too long to finish everything.
I needed them to check the grounds in the living room a to make sure it could handle the equipment we where bringing in, and to install two CFGI outlets in the kitchen. Well luckily the living room was properly grounded but he replaced two outlets anyway and installed one CFGI outlet in the kitchen and put a CFGI safe sticker on the other kitchen outlet.
I also like them because they are union and licenced and insured. And the price was reasonable for them to come to my house and do a proper job.
I will definitly call them for future work if needed
Robert W.They did show up, which considering contractors is worth a star. The guy seemed to be distracted and not interested. The job was pretty straight forward, easily accessible crawlspace, rewiring and upgrading 50's house and if satisfied, wiring a studio remodel - not a small job. Never followed up with me - even to say they weren't interested. Two subsequent emails were not responded to. I would not use them - they are not customer service oriented.
