I feel so fortunate to have found Riskin Electric! Wow! What a relief to know a professional and honest electrician who does excellent work! Avi was the first of three electricians I called for bids who responded and came out in person to look at the situation (the other two gave bids via email and never actually saw what they would be doing). Avi explains options and is great to work with. I will definitely call Avi whenever I need electrical work done and have already recommended him to friends! Don't mess around just hire him!

My insurance required an upgrade to my electrical panel in order to maintain insurance. Avi at Riskin Electrical responded quickly and gave me a competitive bid. He took care of all of the permits, meeting with Pg&E, etc and made the experience easy and safe. He is professional and his work is excellent. I highly recommend him!

Avi provided an excellent service in the installation of a wall connector in our garage . Really impressed with his work. He even took the time to paint the conduit so it won't be too noticeable. He really is knowledgeable and provided different options of where the connection can be done and took the time to explain the possible cons of each option which I appreciated very much. All in all, he was a pleasure to deal with. Would definitely go back to him in the future for electrical work and would recommend him.

This is a long overdue review but in summary: I highly recommend Avi for all electrical needs. His professionalism and commitment to detail and quality really stood out, which was reassuring as a new homeowner. Avi helped upgrade the main panel, add a subpanel, in addition to recessed lighting and additional outlets throughout the space. Am simply appreciative for his help during the permitting process too--couldn't be more happy working with him and will certainly work with him in the future!

Tesla agents had sent me a list of preferred electricians. I shopped around on yelp, before I got to Avraham. He replied right away and set up a day for estimate. We agreed on a price and setup a day for install. When he got to the house, he explain what he was going to do and ""went to town."" I was amazed by his work and did an excellent job. He might specialize on EV chargers but he also does electrical work. I will recommend him to anyone in need of a EV charger installation.

I had lost power to one of my rooms in the house which oddly enough knocked out our internet as well. I got a response from Avi super quick. He came by, assessed the issue, found that it was a faulty breaker, changed it, and now I have power to the one room and my internet back! He did an amazing job! I can't thank him enough for the help!

Found Avi on Yelp.. I'll be honest, I was shopping on yelp trying to get a ballpark of the pricing to install an EV charger and getting permits (home insurance purposes). I contacted 4-5 companies on Yelp and also those on the Tesla recommended list. Those listed on Tesla's website basically made you fill out pages of questionnaires as if you were applying for college.

Anyway, Avi was the quickest to respond and the price was very very competitive and fair. He was also willing to go out of his way to get permitting. The process required him to visit the house first to measure the garage and snap a few pics to get the permits pulled. Then once the permits were good to go, he scheduled an appointment to do the install.

Install was originally quoted at 1.5-2 hrs. Took him much longer than expected because of some unforeseen circumstances. There was suppose to be conduit exposed, but Avi found another route by opening up the drywall because it was easier to work with.

He inspected the panel and found shoddy work done by previous contractors. Also had to rework the panel to fit new tandem breakers. I appreciate his extra care to rewire / splice existing wires to get things to work. Everything was patched up and cleaned after the installation. I just need to touchup the paint to blend everything in.

Now I just need to wait for city to send out an inspector.

p.s. he does have a few more 5 star yelp reviews which ended up being filtered. Seems like legit reviews that were flagged.

I was converting a gas water heater in the garage to a heat pump water heater so Avi installed a 30A circuit from the main electric panel to the new heater. My house was built in 1964 and that created some obstacles but Avi overcame them, following the plumber's installation instructions exactly.
