Our central AC hasn't been working well for years and, when living in the SoCal valley, you can only stomach so many 100+ degree days before deciding to do something big about the problem. Rightime came to our house and assessed the AC, confirming our suspicion -- the unit is fine but too small for the house (damn corner-cutting house flippers who sold us the house!)

The Comfort Advisor (I love that job title) who helped us was VICKY ROWAN and she is a great reflection of the company. She's knowledgable, professional, personable and, most importantly -- not pushy. With expensive, big ticket items like this, I always dread the used car salesman method of salesmanship. You know the kind I mean -- the salesperson acts as your best pal when pitching the product but, if you decide not to purchase, they suddenly become pushy, intimidating, and sometimes nasty. Not so with Vicky.

This was our first estimate, our first time even considering buying a new AC system. Much like buying a new car, we need to do our research and get a few more estimates for comparison shopping before deciding to go forward with any company. Vicky completely understood and didn't press the issue. She wished us well in our research and even provided helpful tips in conducting it. If our research leads us back to Rightime, we will definitely request her by name.

Absolutely the worst experience with a plumber. Short version. I had a slab leak and needed a repipe. Supposed to be 3-5 days. Took over 1 month. Charged for cooper and used pex. Supposed to be a manifold with a separate line for each fixture. Ran a trunk line instead. Flattened most of my hvac ducts crawling over them instead of just disconnecting them. Lousy customer service, way over priced. Zero stars.

My son in law and daughter spent $15,000 with RightTime. After a few days the main unit was not cooling the house. They sent somebody out who told my daughter that they used the old coils from the old unit and it would cost $3000. 00 to get them replaced. They bought new units. Apparently ( I am being sarcastic) coils are considered an extra item by rightime. A supervisor was supposed to show up yesterday to discuss with my son in law but he was a no show. Did not call. So I called their office today. Everybody is in the field and a supervisor will call me back on Monday and they had no record of a visit scheduled yesterday. Hmmm what do you all think??? I will keep everyone posted on if they honor their full refund promise. Can you say slimey!!!!

These people are something else
I would not recommend them to my enemies. They came to my residence 4 an annual service. The technician insisted on trying to sell me a certain filter. I told him I was not interested, but he continued to show me how well it fits and what I need to do. As he slid it in the compartment it was too large and the door would not shut. I pointed out the fact that it doesn't even fit. He says sure it does and hit the door with his hand to shut it breaking the knob right off. The door itself is riveted to the unit, the knob is riveted from the inside to the door which then has insulation on the back side of the door hiding the rivet. I called his company and reported it, the technician lied and said he never broke anything. The manager refused to return my call or take care of the problem. These people are the only ones that have ever worked on my AC unit. In fact they were the ones that installed the unit when it was run under the name of 1 hour.

We have some minor things that need to be fixed, i.e., a photoelectric cell and three fans. We're thinking it'll cost $200-300 for these repairs. First thing they did was inspect our house for all the ""problems"" they can fix. The final quote was almost $10,000! This house is only about 25 years old. This is ridiculous. They were here for over an hour and I couldn't wait to pay their ""consultation fee"" to get them out of my house. They felt like scam artists to me. And frankly, I wanted a quote to get these things fixed. They didn't even quote that. They just wanted to replace everything. They're just like a bad mariachi bad you pay to leave you alone.

No idea how this company defines '24 hour service' but it certainly does not mean speedy response (or any response for that matter), showing up for appointments or even bothering to contact the client that they are unable come at the agreed upon time.
Don't waste your time or money.

There are two things I can count on with a Rightime (WrongTime is more apt) installed AC. 1. It will fail during a heat wave when you need it most. 2. Technicians won't arrive to fix it until 3+ days later when the heat wave is over. Steer clear of this company. You're better off with a mom and pop.

In April of this year, we had a representative (Martin A.), come out to service our A/C. In he evaluation and service he replaced the capacitor(I think,80/5 MFD. We were very happy with his work, and professionalism. We then called them back on 6/30/18. They sent out a representative, who we do not have a name. He was to come out in the morning, in a window span of 8-2pm. He arrived 5:30-6pm. The company did call us to tell us the technician would be late. The temperature for the day without Cool A/C was 106 degrees. His diagnosis was to replace the the whole system, heater and air-conditioning unit, He said a representative would contact us. A representative, Dominick T. came Sunday at about 10 am.7/1/18. He was a Supervisor. (the week ahead was scheduled to be in the 110-115 degrees and we have two medium size dogs, my wife and myself.) The technician that had come the past day said a new unit could cost anywhere from 7k to 40k for a new unit. We did not have that kind of money sitting around to right a check outright for that amount. Long Story short, Dominick rebuilt some of the A/C unit at a cost of $1,504.59. with discounts and the past work discounted, we payed just under $900.00 dollars for restoring our service. Today is July 4th. Everything is working fine. We are saving up for a brand new unit, and hope the present work/""band aid,"" work will hold up until we come up with the funds. Thank you Sooo... much Dominick T. for your professionalism, and work. Although no one can guarantee the repairs done, we are thankful for their help and we will be seeing them soon for a new unit...looks like no trip to south America this year, but a new ac/heater unit for our home.
They get a 4 star ,because of the miscommunication, schedualing, otherwise they would have received a 5 star evaluation. :).

I called them just to have regular maintenance on our HVAC. We bought our home brand new less than 3 years ago and this guy is telling me my AC unit isn't cooling properly. Strange...Feels fine to me. Tried to tell me that we needed a minimum of $2000 of work. I call BS!!!

This company tries to sell things you don't need. A little concerned that I let this company in my home after reading reports that some of the techs sabotaged other people's systems. If my AC stops working in the next day or 2 guess I'll be giving my lawyer a call.

Don't trust Home Depot vendors. Do your homework and call a reputable company.

Via Home Depot, I requested an estimate for 2 ductless mini splits. Joe from RighTime Home Services came out and pretty much from the moment he stepped through the doors, it appeared he wasn't interested in giving me a good faith estimate. He started off why didn't I just use central A/C. I didn't ask for central AC estimate and Joe asked how much I was expecting to pay for the mini split. He looked at his folder after I finally got a chance to tell him where I wanted the mini-split and after listening to him tell me why it didn't make sense to have mini-splits there - he said $14,000. That is about twice the cost of two other reputable A/C companies. At the very least I'm glad that the non-estimate visit was over in 15 minutes. While I don't fault salespeople from sizing up the customer, it is still unprofessional to conduct such a fruitless estimate appointment and make it obvious you are not even trying.
