Rick came to my home on 4-11-09 to diagnose a tv picture / color problem. He said the repair would cost $419.50 (200 parts + 200 labor + tax) I agreed to the repair. When the repair was completed I asked Rick why the colors don't line up right on the tv and he stated I need to leave the TV on for about 4 hours for the new parts to `burn in`. After 4 hours, I attempted to correct the color & picture. I was not able to correct it and the picture on the tv was blurry. I tried to contact Rick that same evening and left a message. Around 7:00pm (4-11-09), Rick showed up at my house to see the problem for himself. He agreed that the picture was not great and somewhat blurry and said that is the best it's going to get for the repair he performed. He then stated that for another $400.00 he could make the picture like new again. I told him there was no way I am going to spend another $400.00 for him to fix the tv correctly. He left my house telling me that I should just get used to the picture.
On Tuesday morning, 4-14-09, I contacted Rick one more time to try and resolve this issue with him regarding the blurry picture. Rick once again stated, he can fix the picture for an additional $400.00. I told him again that there was no way I am going to give him more money to fix the tv a second time. I then stated, I will file a complaint with the Bureau of Electronic and Appliance Repair. There is now a complaint on file for Ricky's Electronics.

Bought a supposed OEM replacement bulb for a high def projection TV ($263.35 inc. tax). Lightbulb blew out after 4 months. He would not replace it because the bulb didn't have the manufacturers watermark on it. He said that our TV probably burnt it off. Said that the manufaturer would not warranty it because there was no watermark. He told a story of how some people buy bulbs and try to return a knockoff bulb. Not sure if he was accusing us of doing this but we felt like he was. Ended up buying another bulb on-line for $160 (DLPsource.com) and it was professionally packaged (vs. Ricky's which wasn't) and so far working great. Ricky thinks that because he bent over backwards that he got us the bulb in an emergency that we should be thankful. He met us in the starbucks parking lot, demanded cash only. We should have known better. Do not recommend this vendor.
