Another project from Rick, another 5 stars!

If you look at my previous review, you'll see that my wife and I moved into an older house. For whatever reason, this house barely has any windows nor a direct door to the backyard even though it has a massive patio. Because of this, my wife and I decided to install a rear patio door.

While just small talking with Rick while we were discussing our future plans for the house, he OFFERED to assist on the door installation just to make sure the electrical portion was done to his standard. THIS WAS FREE OF CHARGE!!! A licensed specialist offering to assist on an unrelated project at no charge just to make sure the work was done to his standard. I work in the medical field, so I think of it like it's having surgery for something, and a neurosurgeon offers to assist... at NO CHARGE!! I'm very impressed. In addition, because he knew how old our house was and being a family man himself, he did checked up on our fuse box at no charge.

So again, I'm recommending Rick for any and all electrical work you have. Dude works his tail off, personable as hell, detail oriented, and someone who just appreciates things being done the right way. He'll go out of his way to make sure everything is done right, and is just a nice guy. So again, I give Rick my highest recommendation without any hesitation!

Rick is a super awesome guy. He replaced 3 gross old fans for me in my new house and graciously fixed some wiring that was done improperly. He was easy to get a hold of, punctual, fast, professional, and efficient. What more could you ask for?! AND his prices are fair. I will definitely be calling him again for future electrical work.

Richard completed several projects for me including installing a ceiling fan, a bath fan, fixing my smart home modules and running new wiring for my patio for my fountain and patio lights. Despite running into unforeseen complications on each project, he found solutions and made everything perfect. He even patched and textured my walls which had to be cut out for additional wall plates eliminating the need for another contractor. He is meticulous and professional and cleaned all workspaces spotless. His communication is fantastic responding to email in minutes, answering his phone always and checking in with me to confirm appointments and start times without fail. I cannot recommend Richard enough and will be giving him a call again when the need arises.

I had a problem with my GFI outlets and had 2 separate visits from another electrician who didn't fix the problem and did not bother to follow up me. My time is valuable and I don't like taking off work to continuously meet with repair people.

Rick was responsive, on-time and fixed the problem the first time, along with installing some new bathfans (and doing a fantastic drywall patch too!), J-box for a new oven, and wiring my smoke detector which I mis-wired myself. I will definitely use Richard Olinger Electric in the future and would recommend his services to friends and family. If you want your electrical work done correctly, the first time, this is the electrician to call.

I needed my entire electric panal/ breaker box replaced and was referred to Rick. Upon calling him, he called me back the same day, made gave me an honest bid, arrived on time, finished his work, cleaned up after the job AND followed through with the city and SDGE passing inspections without issue.
