Rick is awesome!! He answered my phone call right away, even on a busy day. He was really knowledgeable about our problem, and went out of his way to squeeze us in between apps due to our emergency situation. Our main breaker fried and only half of our electricity was working (of course the ones not working were the fridge, stove, garage door, AC, and fans). He came 2 hours later, exactly when he said he could, and was able to fix it quickly explaining everything along the way. He also kindly looked at some additional ""dimmer"" outlets that haven't been working properly and was able to fix them. Rick is a really nice professional electrician who really goes above and beyond. We will definitely use him in the future and recommend him to everyone!! Thanks Rick!

Rick & Jack were super awesome!!! I got a very quick response & quote to have my master bath lights repaired & installed. Despite a surprise (poor/dangerous wiring from the previous contractor) Rick was able to fix it and manage to stay within our original quote. They cleaned up nicely afterwards too- like they were never here! Excited to have them come back to do some other lighting projects in the near future.

Rick Olinger is a Vista-based electrician whose family has lived in this town for over 60 years as owners of the now closed Dura Paint store on Main Street. Rick is a third generation Olinger who spent over a decade in the military as an Army Ranger before returning to Vista to raise a family. What a pleasure (and a relief) to deal with a friendly professional who takes such pride in his work. Indeed, he wouldn't leave until he had vacuumed up the last bit of wall board. Look no further because you have found a quality electrician. Richard came over last week to run wire through our attic space and outside in order for us to finally get AC. He also added a new circuit breaker and installed a new ceiling fan. Richard is punctual, works efficiently, and cleans up when he is done. We were very impressed and will be calling him again.

If I could give Mr. Olinger 6 stars I would. He spent this morning at my home wiring through the attic to put an overhead fan in my bedroom. It was a very difficult job. He had to drill through a slanted beam and then replaster the material on the beam before installing the fan. He also put in a wall switch and a place for the fan remote. He and his apprentice worked tirelessly until the job was done to my satisfaction. That is saying a lot since I'm a perfectionist! They also cleaned the bits of wood from the drilling from the carpet. I say hire Richard. He is skillful and personable.

Wow! These guys are awesome! Came in and cleaned up the mess of the previous electrician who fell of the face of the planet... super flexible, professional, and reasonably priced while doing a great job! I can now run my microwave for as long as I want hahahahaha (seriously we were limited to 1 minute at a time for years)... wish I found R.O.E. Sooner! #Stoked

I have an older house that had a Zinsco 100A panel that I wanted to get upgraded to a newer 200A panel. After looking through Yelp, I stumbled upon Richard Olinger Electric and figure I'd give him a try as the reviews were good. I can honestly say that it was an excellent choice. Rick is an awesome person and his work is top notch. All those past 5-star ratings are spot on and leads to the 5-star rating I'm giving him today. There was a lot of work involved in getting my panel upgraded. Concrete had to be cut, a trench dug for the new conduit to be run to the SDGE subpanel, trench filled back in, concrete re-poured in the area that was cut out and all my electrical lines that were previously ran under my rafters needed to be moved into the rafters. Rick took care of it all and I couldn't be happier. I highly recommend Rick and will use him again without a doubt if I have any future electrical needs.

Richard Olinger Electric quoted me $500 for a job and afterward deducted $50 for one part of the job being easier than expected. These guys rule!! Really nice and honest guys and they know what they are doing. I would recommend this company to my friends and family. What a classy company.
