Was looking to get a 14-50 receptacle installed to charge my car, and thankfully I came across Rhodes Electric! Within 1 business day, they were able to come out and get me taken care of. Terri was extremely helpful with scheduling on the front end, and Dillon was very prompt, professional, and informative upon arriving for install. Thank you guys!!!!

Updated Review for Rhodes Electrical

I signed a proposal for 11-1-2018. First of all I want to say I was initially pleased with the prompt response for installation and how diligent they were to get the unit installed. We enjoyed many months of cool air coming in from the windows. Then in 2020 we had a furnace person come out and complained they could not get access to the attic since duct work was laying on top of the attic access. Dillion from Rhodes came out shortly to strap the duct work to the side allowing access. Then thinking Rhodes had properly installed the whole house fan we again tried to get a furnace person to come out to service our furnace. Two difference companies stated that the whole house fan was not properly installed and suggested they were in violation of a fire code since it was blocking a furnace. Neither company was willing to work on the furnace. I asked Service Champions to speak with Joseph (the father of Dillon). Joseph got very angry and accused Service Champions of not knowing what they were talking about. Joseph indicated that I would have to pay a $200.00 service call to see what the problem was. I declined the suggestion.

Since I did not get any resolution from Rhodes, I contacted QuietCool and suggested to them that their certified installers were not performing as required. The contract stated ""Our Technicians are trained to find the most suitable placement of the fan during the installation process"". Obviously blocking the attic entrance and blocking access to the furnace is not suitable placement.

Rhodes Electrical offered to remove the fan for me for $250.00 Seriously not a solution.
QuietCool intervened and Dillion finally did come out to install the whole house fan in a place not blocking anything.

It is now 2023 and the fan is not working. Knowing that Rhodes would not back up their installation and the 10 year motor warranty, I immediately contacted QuietCool Directly. We went through a problem determination. I was told that normally the company installing the fan would help with that. QuietCool suggested perhaps a family member or a friend could help us with the video required to prove if the motor was working or not. Since we are elderly, we had a friend come over to help determine the problem. We took a video showing where the damper doors did not open and the fan was blowing in the opposite direction. It appears that the fan just needs to be turned around. If properly installed the fan should have been working for many years without any problems.

I contacted Rhodes this month (April 2023) by email, text, telephone, & messages looking for a resolution. Every type of communication possible.

Friday I finally received a phone call from his receptionist saying, ""Unfortunately the Warranty for installation has long expired"". Since I was not in the mood to hear the word ""unfortunately"" I feel an updated review is warranted.

If you are in a position to supervise Rhodes in proper installation, then I say go ahead. However, do not depend on them to do the proper thing without your personal supervision. That would require that you read up on the manuals to determine what is proper. They neglected so many things. Sad.

I also want to say. If it is too good to be true. Run. We were given a free fan from a drawing at a fair. All we had to pay was a $750.00 installation fee and a $449.00 upgrade. They never even came out to inspect the attic first before installation which I understand now is a must.

So, this is my honest review of events leading to my disillusionment.

I Called this company on a Monday to put up some new lights in the garage and outside. They said Friday 11AM was the first opening - so I said okay. Friday rolled around and I got a voice mail from Terry that they could not make it. I called back and got no answer for the rest of the day. I called again on Monday (keep in mind, they should have called me). I got a quote over the phone for $1,100.00 to hang 2 lights in the garage and install 2 more motion activated lights outside. WHAT A JOKE OF A COMPANY.
VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND EXTREMELY OVER PRICED.
They wasted a full week of my time.

Our house needed a main panel and sub panel installation and the folks at Rhodes are very prompt and professional. Terry was very reassuring and responsive . Andrew exceeded all our expectations and took the time to explain in layman's terms the concerns amd problems that we had regarding our electricity as we are transitioning to solar power . We would definitely consider them again with our future projects . Great job and thank you !

Rhodes electric just installed a whole house fan for us. They made they purchase incredibly affordable, and they scheduled install quickly. They worked around MY schedule to find a day that worked for me. Our installers kept me posted on their ETA, and they showed up on time. They made suggestions about options for the fan and louvre locations and explained best practices to maximize efficiency so I could get the most out of my Quiet Cool fan. I was shown how to operate the unit and provided all of my warranty paperwork as well. They made sure to keep their workspace clean and they didn't leave behind any mess. Both installers were professional and friendly. I'll be using Rhodes for future electrical installation needs in the future for sure.
