Had a problem with a space heater used for a year suddenly causing the circuit breaker to trip. Joseph came out checked out the circuit, checked out the electrical receptacle. I mean took them apart and gave me a couple of options to check out next time as everything seemed fine and the heater did not trip it while he was here. We had a great conversation, very personable. When he went to leave I asked how much I owed him and he said ""nothing""! I said no way and wouldn't let him do that, but he truly didn't expect anything. I LOVE honest, nice, conscientious people and respect the work they do. If I need an electrician again, Joseph will be my go to.

It's hard to find trustworthy professionals these days...Joseph is certainly that.
Prompt, professional, fair prices, and friendly. He fixed a nagging electrical socket in less time than it takes me to shut off the breaker.
I've saved his number and he's my go-to guy now.
Seems insignificant, but he offered to take off his boots before coming in...I appreciate that, and it's a reflection of his character.

I can't recommend Joseph from Residential Electric Consultants enough. After a rainstorm, our power started cycling on and off, and we were in a pinch Sunday morning trying to save breast milk in the freezer. Joseph, the owner, (the only one of several electricians in San Diego we contacted that were supposedly 24/7 who responded) even though we weren't in his service area. He called back genuinely concerned, saying he has kids himself, and offered to drop everything, leave his family on a Sunday, and come out to us.

When he arrived, he explained the issue in detail and even refused payment when he saw the situation we were in. Who does that these days? Since then, we've had him back for other electrical work, and my husband and I are continually impressed by his professionalism and knowledge. He's thorough, explains everything, and everything is done clearly and above board--no ""cowboy"" behavior here.

At this point, we feel like we've found a family friend. Joseph is genuinely good, not just in it for the money, and we couldn't be happier to support his business.

Joseph just gained a loyal client for life!

One of the canned lights in our kitchen started malfunctioning after an interior painting job. We thought the canned light needed a replacement. Today, Sunday, 10/27th, my husband attempted to replace the light that resulted in a short-circuit tripping off the breaker.

We contacted several different Yelp recommended electricians in the area and spoke with 2. The other business quoted as immediately before asking what the problem is. Joseph, on the other hand, asked what the issue is and had us send him photos and told us what's wrong and give us step by step instructions on how to fix the problem. And I want to add that he was at a family Sunday event but was willing to come to our house later in the day if we were not able to follow his instructions. Fortunately, my husband was able to follow Joseph's instructions and our electrical problem was fixed at no cost. I am writing this review as an appreciation of Joseph and his business.

We will definitely call Joseph again for any and all future electrical works at our house!

We had an emergency on a weekend and we got service within a few hours. We will definitely use Residential Electrical again. He identified a separate problem that was created by our solar company. Really helpful and honest.

Joseph responded right away and we made an appt for when I could get to my house. He arrived on time and was very knowledgeable on reviewing my previous electrical panel installation. All this occurred due to undergrounding in the neighborhood and he had a full understanding of steps involved and how to work with SDG&E for the work required.
Work is still to be done, but I have complete confidence that he will take care of everything required.

We desperately needed an emergency electrician when our power went out at 4 o'clock in the morning. We called SDG&E to take a look, 4 hours later they confirmed that power was coming to the house and most likely the solar battery was the issue. ASI, the company that installed our solar battery was useless on the weekend! This was in the middle of a heat wave! So we were forced to call an emergency electrician and thankfully Joseph was one of the only companies to answer the phone! He was just finishing a job and was able to make it out to us to investigate further. Unfortunately, ASI installed a proprietary control panel that Joseph couldn't access. Even though he couldn't access our system, he still troubleshot as much as he could on his end. Finally, he recommended we call the battery manufacturer, NeoVolta, directly and 5 minutes was all it took to get our power back on! We thought we would at least have to pay a service fee for him coming out, but because he didn't technically fix anything on his end, he said there was no charge! He really didn't have to do that! Joseph is now definitely our go-to Electrician!

I am truly so grateful to have found this company and Joseph. My husband was installing a dimmer light switch on a Sunday evening and long story short, all of our power went out in our condo. Since it was a Sunday, we weren't very hopeful that anyone could come out and help. He called this number and Joseph immediately offered to try to talk him through fixing the issue over the phone, which was so nice. (Note: my husband had already called two other companies prior that were of no help and were quite abrasive.)

Joseph ended up needing to come out because we needed to access a breaker box that was outside with a lock. He had the key for it which was a lifesaver. He showed up to our place within 30 minutes and was able to get our power back on immediately. We would've lost everything in our fridge and freezer had it not been for him.

More than anything, Joseph was so incredibly kind and helpful. It's rare to find people these days with integrity and that aren't just after another dollar. He genuinely wanted to help. We now have a go to electrician and have already spread the word. Look no further, you won't be disappointed! Thank you Joseph!!
