We had to use them for electrical and echoed the same experience -- no-show from republic west twice and we took time off from work to make sure we were home. We even called the day before our appointment to confirm and still it was a no-show and no notification on their end both times. They mentioned they would return our call but didnt as well.
Unfortunately, we had to use them as part of builders warranty. We do no recommend dealing with them if you dont have to. I hope this will be helpful for other homeowners out there.

Totally unprofessional company , no communication between scheduling and always short staffed and did not show up for install on the day it was scheduled and cancelled twice. Gave the wrong quotation. Would not recommend this company unless you want headache and stress.

We bought a new home and republic electric was the electrical sub contractor for our subdivision. Since we moved in two of the new type of circuit breaker have failed on two different circuits. Both times Republic Electric has come out right away and fix it. Today Carlos did an excellent job and quickly replaced the faulty circuit breaker. Carlos was very professional and spent the extra time to let me know about the new type of circuit breakers. home owners like when contractors take the time explaining what is the problem.

The worst customer service. Three appointments missed with no calls.
Wasted three days waiting for them, lost time from work...unbelievable how any business can operate like this.

This company was used to do the wiring on our Taylor-Morrison home. If you are choosing, DO NOT use these guys. We bought our new home in 2018, we've had wiring issues from day one. The 220 plug wasn't wired correctly (wire coating was removed enough) so the dryer didn't work. The garage door would shut, and lights would flicker throughout the house... sooo many loose wiring connections! Now in 2020, with the corona virus we're all working from home and I'm finding my Ethernet Cat5 jacks are wired incorrectly. This is the worst I've ever seen.

I could seriously write a novel about all the issues with this company. We bought a new JMC home and are required to use them for warranty since they did the electrical on the home.
They have come 8 times for the same 3 repairs. Out of those 8 times they FAILED to show up in the 4 hour window and required me to wait 6 plus hours for an electrician. Who has time for that? Why a 4 hour window if they cannot stick to it? I contacted the manager over this and still no change! I am still waiting today for my appoinment that was scheduled between 8am-12pm.
We clearly have an electrical problem but all they do is switch out lights. Our LED recessed lights randomly go out. We continue to have the issue regardless of how many times they switch out the lights. Our other lights buzz constantly. Again they just switch out the light with no success. Lastly, it took 6 visists before they replaced the fans that were not working. We went the whole summer without using our room fan. Really? So ridiculous!
We have been in our home for less than one year. Our problems began the month we moved in. If you are looking for an electrician DO NOT use them! Look elsewhere, you do not want to feel my pain!

We purchased a home a year ago and this company did the wiring. We have a fan in the great room that was pre-wired by them. We also have a plug above the fireplace that was pre-wired by them. We have switches in between the kitchen and great room, also done by them.
My wife had the fan running one day. We generally have the fan running continuously. However my wife got cold and went to turn the fan off. When she turned off the fan from the switch panel in the wall between the kitchen and great room, the TV also turned off and back on. She told me about it when I got home. I checked it and sure enough the TV turns off a second time when the fan is turned off by the switch. It happened frequently, sometimes infrequently, when we tested it.
I'm not an electrician, but something is definitely wrong here. I called our warranty representative who coordinated an appointment with the sister company who did the low voltage wiring. They came out, checked their connections and said everything was fine with their installation. I set up an appointment with this company. They had a guy come out who had been out before because of another issue. He said he didn't need to check anything because he has run into this problem before. He said there is a surge in the power. He said the only way to fix it is to install a separate junction box to run off the TV or fan. He said odds are no one will be willing to do it because it could be costly. I was more concerned that there could be a surge in the wiring that could create a hazardous situation or fire. He reassured me that wouldn't happen. The warranty company sent out another company who also couldn't figure out the problem.
We have been in the house a year and still haven't resolved the issue. This company installed the wiring when the house was built and obviously did something wrong in the process.

We recently bought a new home with Republic Electric West being the contractors. Unfortunately we had a pretty disappointing experience.
Justin was the technician who came out to handle some discrepancies that were noted on our initial walk through for the home. He was by far the ONLY good thing about Republic Electric West. He was professional, prompt and efficient with handling all concerns, just a great guy.
When we contracted them out, to do some service for us personally, that's when we had issues.
We had been given a verbal quote for the requested service. My wife and I had coordinated time off from work between the both of us to ensure we were readily available for the service appt.
On the day of the service, Justin had showed up and right off the bat, told us that the price that we had expected was in fact incorrect and it would cost a lot more to complete.
We then contacted Jill, who basically informed us that unfortunately it was not an official quote from an estimator. She was aware that she had not scheduled an estimator to come out nor have an official quote sent to us, yet she still scheduled the service knowing we were under the impression of a different expected cost.
We were very frustrated after all the coordination we had made with our schedules and to have no ownership from Jill or the company to make their mistake right.
I will say that we did get an email response from their General Manager Ron Bloom who did apologize but unfortunately our tainted experience with them and their response to right their wrongs was not enough for us to warrant soliciting any more business from them.

I bought a new home and Republic Electric were the contractors. I had some plugs that are adult, I mean child tamper resistant that were near impossible to use. I called and spoke to Jill, she was pleasant and courtesy. We spoke many times just because my work schedule makes it hard for me to be home. Jill is the first person I heard when calling this company and her phone voice and patience really gave me a wonderful first impression. Today, Michael, the customer service tech came out to work on the outlets. He was knowledge and thorough. He explained to me the guidelines mandated regarding the child resistant outlets. He provided me with valuable information in regards to purchasing LED lighting in the future and the benefits. These two employees are the face of Republic Electric. The company made a wise choice in hiring them and should be proud to have them on their team.
03-27-18 yelp won't let me write a new review but if I could I would give another 5 stars for Jill. After two years living in my new home my CFL bulbs are starting to burn out. I tried to remove two of bulbs and broke both. I called in irritated and frustrated and Jill assisted me. She gave instructions on how to remove the bulbs, and also emailed me instructions. She said to wiggle and pull bulb out. Those suckers are in there tight. Jill was super nice, thorough and very professional. This company is very consistent with excellent customer service, and values their customers. Thank you Jill for all your help today!

I am still doing the happy dance. They arrived when they said they would, came in addressed the problem, had it fixed in about twenty minutes. I want to add that another company was out here a few days ago, after about three hours said they would have to come back the next day. Canceled that day and never called back. Republic Electric are the people you need to call for any of your electrical issues.
