Founded in 2002, Reliable Power Systems? in Queens by Margie and Robert Biscardi. After building a successful business in New York, the couple chose to head south to establish something new — a family.
Since that time, Reliable Power Systems? has developed into South Florida's preferred source for comprehensive electrical contracting. Committed to philanthropy, they is involved in fundraising for Cooley's Anemia research and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Creator Robert Biscardi has always had a strong passion for supporting his community. In 1995, he started as a Firefighter with the New York City Fire Department. Upon 10 years of committed service, Robert sought new ways to serve while also offering employment opportunities and a foundation for his future family. To achieve this, Robert left from the fire department, and he and Margie committed their time and energy to growing his electrical company, Sun Electric Works, Inc. (established in 2002).
By 2006, the Biscardis chose to transfer their business to warm South Florida in search of the renowned warmth and sunshine — providing new meaning to the company name! Come 2009, they launched the full-service generator division, Reliable Power Systems, offering another way for Robert to assist the residents of South Florida by ensuring safe and effective emergency standby power and the assurance that comes with it.

Not sure what happened to this company, because they used to be good. very nice on the phone, but there upper management must be out to lunch as they no longer care about there customers. I'm sorry that I bought a generator from them. They are more than 12 weeks behind on the connection, but they have 90% of my money. Stay away from them until the can get there act together

The three electrical techs who started the generator install were outstanding-- so polite, friendly, and knowledgeable- answered all our questions. Reliable has kept us informed of every step along the way. without hesitation, highly recommend Reliable

Let me first say, that if I could delete my previous review I would. The team at Reliable Power Systems were on top of ALL my issues and yesterday completed all the work that was previously left undone. Unbeknownst to me, they did not have the proper equipment last week to finish the second double tap. Now I have an itemized invoice with plenty of photos of the before/after work. The technicians were top notch, and working with Bradi Andrews in their front office was such a positive experience. I would highly recommend Reliable Power Systems for your Electrical needs.

This being my 2nd Generac Gen. (1st lasted just over 14 years) and this 2nd one was purchased from Reliable.
I had the other unit serviced by the original company twice a year until they went ' bust' and then hired a local company to do the semiannual maintenance (they were terrible by the by).
Yesterday (Nov'24) Mercy from Reliable showed up (as scheduled and on time) and WOW(!) what amazing service (on my 6-month-old system) I observed. I have never had close to or equal service since owning the Generator(s).
Thorough and complete was what kind of service I received.
Though I should not have been surprised after watching their installation team (yes team, not just one or two guys either) in action during the install of my new Generac 6 months ago.
Oh and their office staff, all professionals and a pleasure to deal with too.

i was told two times that a technician was coming to meet the inspector today. i stayed home in vain. not nice and was never told nobody was coming

I have been very pleased working with Reliable Power. They replaced my old unit that was installed and serviced by another company, and I have found them to be prompt, thorough, and reliable (no pun intended).
Today I had my annual service, and Anthony was prompt, professional, friendly, and answered all of my dumb questions.
I would not hesitate to recommend them, and have done so.

No call / No Show / No returned calls - I made an appointment on 10/2 for Monday 10/7. I was told that a technician would arrive between 8 AM and 4 PM and that I would receive a call in advance of arrival. I confirmed the appointment with my credit card (I was surprised that I had to provide a credit card before the tech's arrival, but I was told that they simply will not book an appointment without my credit card) and arranged to stay home for the day. At 3 PM, I called and reached an answering service. No call back. On Tuesday, I called Reliable again and was transferred to their answering service. I left a message. 48 hours later and I have not been contacted.
I spoke to Reliable again today, 10/11. The agent told me that your records indicate that a VM was left for me on 10/2 requesting a callback from Reliable. I asked the agent if they had access to the recording. They did and listened to it only to find that no VM was left for me. I was then told that I should be more patient as I called during a hurricane. That is a fabrication because I called on 10/2 before anyone knew about Milton.
Reliable has so many negative reviews. It's clear that you have more customers than they need, so their standards are abysmally low.

Awful. They cancel ""appointments"" with no notice with the excuse that their employees call out sick. I was told today -- after waiting and waiting and calling multiple times -- that they can't control that all their employees call out sick on Fridays and Mondays. I do not recommend. Check other reviews, they say the same thing.

I called a 3 times the main office for technical support and never got a call back for an important question about my changes in my system while I did some construction.
Day of construction, luckily, I had my original salesman's number - David Y. He explained what I needed to do and he came out the very next day to check on what I did to the system and confirm there wasn't a leak in the propane tank and capped and tested the generator. David is the Best!!!!! Whoever works the phones needs retraining.

I continuously find it impossible to speak to a manager at Reliable. I am having issues with an installed whole house surge protector and the company whose product it is is non-responsive. Reliable installed it - I need guidance, why the negativity from customer service agents 'call the manufacturer, we aren't responsible'.
