I have used this company before for a system replacement, and they did a good job. But when I needed a quote this time, I called the number and spoke to someone who said they would have someone call me back. 48 hours later I never received a call back, so I went to their website and submitted an inquiry there. Still no response. I then called again, and they had no times available that were remotely convenient for me. I am amazed that companies like this stay in business when they don't call customers back. I am not going to beg them to help me.

Not sure what's happened over the years, but I'm done with Reliable.

Why I choose TE over Reliable... imagine it's memorial day weekend and your ac goes out. Now imagine you call two companies on Saturday night at 10pm - TE and Reliable - and leave a message that it's an emergency because you have boxes of hardwood flooring that have not been installed and will be damaged by the humidity. You note that when you spoke to the answering services they both said they will contact you at 9 AM tomorrow.

Now consider it's Sunday morning and you're very concerned. It's 9AM and you get the first call from TE. It's a manager who listens, offers advice, and says he can't promise, but he'll send a text to all their service reps to see who could make it and when.

Now consider while waiting to hear back from TE, you realize it's 9:30 and you have not yet heard from reliable so you call. The person you reach at reliable is different - removed and uninterested - and asks the scripted questions. Moreover, she says because you have an AC unit in the basement (which does nothing for our 80 boxes of wood upstairs) it's not an emergency. You explain and she has nothing to offer other than it's not an emergency and the earliest is Friday.

Meanwhile, after you pick up your phone you just threw in frustration you get a call back from TE who says we have someone in Woodstock who said they will come right over. He gets here. Replaces the capacitor and it's up and running in 15 minutes... any extra charge? Emergency or Sunday fee? Nope! Sunday on memorial day weekend and it's normal rates.

Guess what, this is the second time I've had this kind of experience with TE... and also the second time I've had the same experience with Reliable (which is why I called TE both times).

BTW... remember that promised call at 9AM? Another woman called me back around 11 when I was already being serviced by TE.

Part 2 of my NO-HEAT episode. The second company I called came and worked on it and so-called fixed it, they left, at night I had NO heat again.. I called and they said they were busy. Came 2 days later (house is cold) 41° in the house. Worked on furnace again, replaced part that cost $500, next day NO-HEAT, changed to another part, next day NO-HEAT.
The $500 part didn't fix it, I wanted my money back since it's useless.
I said ""check the thermostat up stairs"". They didn't listen.
They finally put a thermostat in.. But they didn't want to give my $500 back.
I ask for it again, no answer. Maybe a judge will help.

So so awful. I had an appointment set for Friday afternoon. I called on Thursday to confirm the appointment and to try and reschedule for an earlier appointment time if possible. It was a message service and nobody ever returned my call so I left it appointment as is. I took the day off on Friday for the appointment. My appointment time came and went so I called again to check. I called 3 times in a several hour time frame and nobody ever called back, even when I was told I would get an escalated call because of the inconvenience. I did not get a call back until almost 7pm at night asking if they could reschedule. I told them absolutely not. I would go with someone more reliable. Absolutely horrible customer service. I would not want to see what their actual service is like.

here is my story. i had a problem with tankless water heater and called Reliable from list of Rinnai Service providers. Technician showed up at my house as promised and gave me quote for 1135 dollars to fix the error code 11. i taught they were genuine and accepted the quote to fix my problem. took 2 and half hours and completed the work and gave grantee that problem got fixed. but within a week i started having new problem with new error code. this time it is 12. again i called the service and requested to come out and check. they did all checks and said no problem. if still happens and to take care again ,they gave me couple of options. one replacing the complete gas unit. for this quote is 825 dollars only labor. second option is rental.

so after all this i felt these guys not fixed my problem and made more worse.

think twice before reaching these guys. i felt like i am robbed.

Crooks, crooks, crooks, stay away. Tech charged $250 for a $20-$60 capacitor. Then charged for the service call. Unbelievable. Was not home and took advantage of a woman. Stay away, from theae crooks. Called to complain and their response was that its guarantee for 5 years. $352 for a capacitor and labor. Anyone that needs work, stay away from theses crooks. 0 stars for these crooks

If we could give them less than one star we would. I work at a concierge medical office in Buckhead. We cancelled all patients today and closed the office. Reliable showed up and was not prepared. They did not have enough hosing and the ones they did have were not long enough. When the appointment was made, the details of the our office were explained. Terrible service.

I had some duct work done in January with Reliable Heating and Air including duct repair and duct cleaning. The duct repair team did not fully repair what they promised. Luckily, the duct cleaning team inspected the duct before they did the cleaning and told me the problems. So the duct repair team came out again to finish the job. I had to reschedule my duct cleaning to be after the repair. During the inspection, I found that they did not do everything in the initial quote. So I talked to the manager and had that portion deducted from the original quote. After the duct cleaning, I paid immediately in full for both duct repair (the reduced amount) and duct cleaning.

However, the financial person with Reliable Heating and Air started to call me early April claiming that I failed to pay for the service. I emailed him my credit card receipt from January. He never confirmed that he received it. A few days later, he called me again saying he's going to put a lien on my house for non-payment. I forwarded him my credit card payment confirmation again. He called back saying that they made a mistake and generated multiple invoices for the same service. He told me that I didn't have to worry about. He'd take care of it. But he called back again two days ago (end of April) saying the same thing all over again that he's going to put a lien on my house for non-payment. I called back and forwarded the receipt again specifically asking for a confirmation that they've received it. He never replied.

I also advice not to work with Reliable Heating and Air if possible. They have terrible management. This creates so much unnecessary stress.

Watch out for this company. Their technicians, are all salesmen w incentives for selling products. Huge conflict of interest by not doing maintenance of your equipment properly and then telling you a sales pitch to sell you a new coil, or a new blower or a new condensing unit. Technicians not trained well. But enough to sell, sell, sell.
