Would not recommend. My parents have had issues with their heating system since November. They have had someone come out 4x and the problem has yet to be fixed!!! This is ridiculous. Was suppose to be here between 12-4 and it's 5:22 and he just now calls saying it will be another half hour before he comes.

Reliable Heating & Air advertise that they will install your new HVAC unit the next day or pay you $500. However don't expect them to service the unit in a timely manner. We've been without heat for the last three days. I reported the issue knowing that they would have to squeeze us in but that it was an emergency. We have two elderly (80+) people in the home and they are very susceptible to the cold. This is compounded by the fact that Georgia is experiencing record breaking cold weather. Each time I called Reliable (I have to laugh at the name) they could not find a record of my previous call and would tell me the same thing about not having an appointment available but they would treat this as an emergency request. This despite the fact I pay a monthly maintenance fee.
So, if you need an HVAC system installed right away I suppose you can call Reliable, but don't expect them to service the unit in a reliable fashion.

I am begging you... please choose any other HVAC company. I have been without heat for 5 days. The unit that broke is 2-3 years old. It was installed by Reliable. It has been maintained by Reliable. I have called for 5 consecutive days. Each day, after a 15 - 30 minute wait, I am connected to a ""receptionist"" who takes down the same information... because they are not linked to any Reliable system. They then promise to pass on my information to the local field office and dispatch team ... i have been waiting 5 days and no call back. Today, the receptionist offered my an appointment. In 30 days.
I explained that I did not have heat. He apologized. Said it was the best he could do. Literally. The worst company ever. Try anyone else.

4 years ago, I made the mistake of switching from Shumate to Reliable for replacing an entire home HVAC system because of their leasing option. I was told that by being in the leasing program, I would be a ""premier"" customer, receiving ""preferential"" treatment. I would hate to see what ""regular"" customers receive. Customer service is repeatedly horrible. Service technicians don't arrive at all, let alone late. 4 hr time windows for service calls and no one shows up or calls. Issues are diagnosed as needing a ""senior technician"", yet no one notifies the company to send one out. There is no follow up of any kind. If a problem is identified, and God forbid a part is needed or the technician on site cannot fix it, then plan on taking care of the problem yourself. When the system was installed, I requested zoning for a troublesome area of my home. Not only did they not do the zoning during installation, but I continued to pursue getting zoning done for the next THREE YEARS with the same sales manager, including site visits with senior installation techs, etc and still nothing. No follow up, no call backs.
In short, I plan to purchase out my lease as soon as I can and get rid of this company. If I could give negative stars I would. Shumate worked so well for me for 17 years and I am truly regretting leaving a good thing.

I booked an appointment confirmed between 8 -10am. I waited until noon with no call or text. The service technician left a message at 1:17pm and arrived and left a missed appointment door tag at 1:30pm. Not only a waste of my time and his, a call to Reliable was ""sorry we don't have any available appointments until next week"". Unbelievable lack of communication and customer service.

RUN do not walk,, RUN from this company. HORRIBLE!! I have waited for an entire week to have my crappy units they installed that have NOT worked for the entire time they installed even though PAYING them. Ever time some excuse.. On Friday, A technician should have been here at my home.. another wasted day in the COLD. Now the excuse their server is DOWN! How pathetic.. you should still have a hand schedule printed of where your technicians will be scheduled to go.. The NASTINESS of their ATTITUDE ...no apologies.. I have been wanting a statement of my pay off so I can get the heck away from every doing business with them.. I was to have free maintenance they have come and done NOTHING to fix unit but then want to CHARGE me again. THey had to order a PART but never came back as promised to install part so had no AC now have no HEAT. This company is exhausting... I am so glad another company did my upper HVAC.. I just need to get out of reliable so that the other company can service all 3 of my units.. SUCH a waste of $$$$$ of dollars on this crappy, poor run, unreliable company. The people have no respect for your floors or carpet... one of their folks tracked MUD in my home.. SO DISRESPECTFUL.

Once your 'Master Plumber' arrived he didn't do anything except literally look at the shower. How is that the fault of the call center? He was clear on the issue when he came and stated he couldn't do anything. He said a tiler would have to break the tile to determine IF there was an issue, then the tiler would repair. If fixing leaking showers is not something your plumbers are capable of, that couldve been relayed over the phone. There is nothing reputable about charging fees to do nothing.
Harris Plumbing came out the following day tested the shower, waited for it to leak and diagnosed the problem in under 30 minutes! Another unlicensed plumber basically outlined to me what to do to test whether it was a leaky shower pan or the shower cartridge. Your plumber couldnt or simply didn't bother.

Not what I would call ""Reliable"". They knowingly installed a defective ""Rheem"" water heater with a valve issue in my house. 18 months after the water heater was installed, the ""Documented"" defective valve broke, leaving us without hot water for (3) days. We scheduled an appointment for Monday (between 12:00 and 4:00), the tech was a no call and no show. After we followed up they sent a tech out the next morning, with the part for installation. We were then charged $400.00 for labor (laughable) and told the part was covered and the part cost was a $300.00 part (after doing some research the part can be purchased for $25.00 at Home Depot or Lowes). They then had the nerve to ask us to contact ""Rheem"" and have a replacement valve sent to our residence and they (Reliable) would come and pick up the replacement part (you have got to be kidding me) from our porch. After many attempts to talk with a manager in their plumbing department, Chris (Plumbing manager) called and was most unhelpful, condescending and snarky. Stay away from these folks, they are no longer an Atlanta based company and seem to have no concern for customer satisfaction.

I am a little disappointed because I had someone come by to perform a maintenance on both of my systems. After the technician left there was a strange odor coming from my vents. I had someone else come by to check out the smell. He found that there was an open vent which he was shocked it was left like that when the units were installed. He also found that when the units were installed by Reliable Heating and Air the gas line was not installed up to code. Needless to say I had a third repair person come out to see what the smell might be and he said that the evaporator pan may have mold in it and showed me pictures. I don't understand why during the maintenance of the systems or after the 2nd person came out for the strange odor they did not find this or point this out? Also all technicians that came out could not believe how the systems were installed by Reliable Heating and AIR 6 years ago. Apparently the original installers did a poor job from their comments. Looking at the picture of the evaporation pan it should have been caught by the previous two technicians. All I got was a quote for over 2000 dollars to get a new pan and a sanitizing system for the units

I scheduled an appointment for generator routine maintenance in August. The day they were supposed to show up I get a call letting me know they're out of ""generator maintenance kits"" and can't come. I was told they'd call me to reschedule once the materials came in. No one ever called. Fast forward a couple of months and we need a generator repair. I schedule an appointment online and receive a text message confirming I've requested an appointment for today with an arrival time between 1-5 PM. It's 3 PM and they're just now calling to say they can't do the repair because they didn't install it. They could have stated this ridiculous policy on their website and saved me an afternoon of sitting around and waiting for someone to show up. I won't bother trying to use them for anything else. After reading their reviews here and on another site I'm glad they didn't show up.
