We had our pipes clogged. Reliable came to our house and stated we needed pipes snaked. But we may need a camera after that or we may need totally new pipes. All this is understandable until they make an assessment. I stated I wanted the camera ($350) to view first so we would know what we are dealing with. Reliable plumber was sure it must be roots. Plumber ensures me we should snake the pipes first.
Reliable snakes the pipes and proclaims everything is fixed ($475).
But we have the same issues as soon as the kids take a shower upstairs, any large flow of water causes an over flow. Reliable quotes $6-7K for replacement of pipes without looking at anything. They continually try to stack the services so that you are constantly paying more and more each time. When Reliable comes back out the plumber says he should look at it with a camera this time (which is exactly what I asked for the first time).
Not to mention Reliable was supposed to come out yesterday and decided to not show up. Reliable service tech calls and says they didn't load his truck with the correct tools. Another day wasted with a company that is going to cheat you in the end. I suggest using someone else at the very least find a RELIABLE service company who won't cheat you.

I was told they would be at my home between 8-11 to check and set up my heaters. It 1147 and they still have no idea when there man will be here. very poor service.

Reliable Heating & Air, Plumbing and Electrical isn't so reliable if you value your time! I recently had an appointment with the electrical division of the company to service several things around the house. When I scheduled the appointment I was told there would be a $49.00 fee to have the electrician come out and take a look at everything I needed to have done and quote repair costs while on site and that the $49 would be applied to the total job cost, if I chose to have the work done.
When the electricians (a team of two) showed up I took them around showing them the different areas that were in need of repair. The first thing I showed them was a Puck light inside a cabinet (probably just needs the bulb to be changed - which I provided) and another area was inside a dining room cabinet where a portion of some rope lighting was not working. Before going to next location in the house, the lead electrician told me there would be an initial $149 inspection/troubleshooting fee to determine what is wrong with the first item (Puck light) and another $89 inspection fee to determine what is wrong with the rope light, and that additional items would also require an $89 troubleshooting/inspection fee. I was stunned at such a rip off!
I reminded them I had been told there was a $49 fee to have Reliable's electrician come out to give me a quote on repairs, nothing had been said about paying a troubleshooting fee for each item I needed a cost on to repair. The lead electrician said, ""No, it's $49.00 to get us to your door."" Following that statement, they both said they were not surprised that I wasn't told about the troubleshooting fee(s), that it happens all the time and that upper management has been made aware. I was furious and asked for their supervisor's name and telephone number. I immediately called and the supervisor's voicemail was full. I asked the electricians to leave and to get in touch with their supervisor and have him call me. I never received a call from the supervisor or anyone else at Reliable. What a waste of time. Watch out for this tricky way of doing business!

Before I purchased a home, my inspector recommended that I have the AC serviced/repaired. Seller agreed and Reliable came out and performed $460 worth of repairs, maintenance and an inspection. I was told that everything was repaired, in working order and reviewed the invoice. Less than a month after the repairs the AC is not working...same components that were checked, cleaned, etc are not working. The unit is only 4 years old. You would think that an upwards of $3k repair would be noticeable during their time inspecting it. When the same tech came back to look, he said it was a clogged filter that was caused by construction. There was no construction...I explained that the AC was not working and it was shut off before my carpets were removed (aka ""construction""). Of course the recent quote lists this despite the fact that it's not true. I was shocked because they are a larger company and seem reputable, but this entire situation feels unethical, dirty, shady and dishonest. Apparently the 30 day service guarantee is not applicable here for some reason?? No one has explained that part to me...Seems convenient that Reliable would push their financing options on a 3k+ repair right after they gave the 4 year old machine a clean bill of health before my closing...how fortuitous.

My visit was for my semi-annual AC check-up. Brahim is a wonderful technician! He explained everything to me, and was very thorough with his job! I am going to always ask for Brahim every time that I need service! Brahim is a wonderful person.

Past two times under their service contact had issues: first time i moved after prepaying for the service and they said it's only good for address it was paid for even though I am still in service area. This time I had scheduled an appointment and they didn't show or call. When I had to call following business day they said nothing they could do about it and no discount for inconvenience. I can't continue paying for this.

Extremely disappointed with customer service response, when we typically have had good experiences. However, we pay an annual fee and had a monitoring system installed so that we could have a quicker response when the unit failed. Our unit stalled on Wednesday morning. Our first service response was Thursday after 5pm, but due to rain and lightning, service could not be completed. Understandable. However, the next service appointment offered was on Saturday, 3 days after our original appointment. We were told we were ""high priority"". How is it high priority to have an appointment on Thursday be Re-booked for 3 days later? No explanation for the delays were provided, and this is poor customer service prioritization. Very disappointed.

I am very stressed after talking with Greg about getting the price for a new AC. It was exactly like a time share presentation. He gives me the price and breaks it down into payments. Then he tells me the monthly payments over 8 years. This was about double of what I was expecting. Then he begins to tell me the yearly cost of maintenance and the yearly cost of the new kind of filter stressing how I will be locked in at this price. Next he began to let me know that over 8 years the unit will break down an average of 3 times because new products are built to depreciate. At this time my heart was beating with stress and I felt exactly like a time share and I asked him to leave. At times he asked me technical questions about furnaces that I could not answer. Other times he was explains humidity like I was in the 3rd grade. Now I see why initially, he only wanted to talk with both my self and my husband at the same time. Just like a timeshare, both parties must be present. When I went for CPR class and drivers ed class, I was offered free things if I gave a great review..... My experience today was horrible!

I want to warn anyone thinking about using Reliable for the AC systems, DON""T. We had two brand new units put in last November. From the day they were installed, we have not had working AC. These are under warranty, and on average, someone is out here at least twice a week to recharge these. I have asked repeatedly to have entirely new units put in. They have come up with ridiculous band aids, like bending the louvres on the outside balcony closet, to just leaving the closet door open. (This is on the balcony of a 26 floor and now way can you leave this door open, and since we did not have to do this the previous 10 years with the old units, why do I have to do it now? Now they want to come out and do some Mumbo Jumbo bandaid crap. I am sure their plan is to band aid this enough until it cools off, and then I will just forget about it. No way in hell Daniel J or whoever might give crap. AI am going to post this one very social media site, so that everyone can see how unreliable reliable really is. You can read more about this on my blog tamiesjourney.com It is ridiculous that I am sitting in my office, sweating because it is 90 degrees in here at 2 in the afternoon. Anyone else have this great experience.

I used the Cobb EMC $50 rebate offer to have my two a/c's ""tuned up"" by Reliable in May. The tech arrived on time which is about the only positive thing I can say about the experience.
The tech went up to the attic unit and when I pulled down the stair I saw the light bulbs had burnt out. I went right down to the basement to get a replacement while the tech went up to the indoor unit. BEFORE I got back in less than 2 minutes, the tech was coming back down the stairs and said he was done up there as it was really hot!
We then went down to the basement unit, the tech replaced the filter I provided and walked away. I asked if he was done there and he replied yes as he said everything would have been checked out during the winter tune up. I didn't have a ""winter tune up"".. NEVER took off the unit cover, therefore never checked the motor, blower, coil, etc. NEVER checked the temp drop across the coil.
He went to the outdoor units and within 5 minutes announced he was done and that the older unit needed Freon as it had a leak but that it would be better to replace it.
So for my $100 the Reliable tech ""tuned up"" my TWO a/c's in about 30 minutes, don't think so! Very surprising as I have used Reliable for service over the years as well as having had them replace my downstairs unit.
UPDATE as of July 27
My upstairs unit died this week just a few months after Reliable ""tuned it up""! Called a different hvac company whos tech told and showed me that the upstairs units accumulator in the outdoor unit had completely rusted through. This caused ALL the Freon to leak out so I'm having Cool Air HVAC put in a new Amana split system right now.
NEVER use Reliable!
