Daniel started his journey at Reliable Heating & Air as a teenager, gaining experience in duct cleaning, service, and installation departments throughout the years. Upon graduating from college, he came back to work in the sales and design team, developing the expertise needed to one day take over the company as Dan hands it down to the next generation.
Daniel's journey with Reliable began in 1999 at the age of 14, accompanying his father, Dan Jape, as they consulted with customers about their heating and cooling requirements. Since then, he has held various roles at Reliable, gaining comprehensive knowledge of the business. Daniel holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree and a minor in Marketing from Reinhardt University. During his formative years, baseball was a key part of his life, from being acknowledged on a scholar team to having an entire hitting facility named after him (the Daniel Jape Hitting Facility), which brought pride to his father. His accomplishments continued post-school as he received Reinhardt's 10 Under 10 Award, which recognizes the top 10 alumni for their achievements in business, military, and nonprofit sectors. Currently, he resides in North Cherokee County with his wife and their two beautiful daughters. During his spare time, he enjoys weightlifting, boating, baseball, and having fun with his daughters.

I paid to have an annual service on my two Trane heat pumps. That service includes a complete checkout of each unit including changing the filters. The Reliable technician wasn't at my home very long but I did ask him if he changed the filters. He said he did. However I never saw him with any new filters or any old ones. The other day I went to change the filters and found that he had never put new ones in, the filters still had the old dates that I had written on them. This makes me question whether any other annual maintenance was performed on these units.
Several days ago I called to speak to a Service manager. I was told that I would receive a call. Never heard back. I called again asking to speak to the owner. I have not yet received a call back.

""The gang that can't shoot straight"" would be an appropriate description of this HVAC company. Several weeks ago, I arranged for them to come out between 10:00am and 2:00pm on October 8--no show, no call, no nothing. When I called their office back, 30 minutes on hold to finally get a ""we don't have an appointment for you"" response.
So, I gave them one more chance to come and take a look at my HVAC unit that next Saturday (October 15, again between 10:00am - 2:00pm). I get a call about 1:10pm on that day to find that, ""We are running late and oh, we are the residential portion of the business, we can't actually climb one attached metal ladder in your interior common area to access the exterior HVAC unit on your condo's roof. That is for our commercial team to handle.""
Once their office gives me a call back next week, they are really going to get a piece of my mind! If memory serves, these folks are the same ones that actually INSTALLED my HVAC unit like 5 - 6 years ago. They should know the configuration, specs, and location of the HVAC unit already.
Poor customer service, shoddy scheduling/follow-up, and very poor record keeping. I recommend RUNNING AWAY from this company if you are considering getting ANY work done from them.

No longer reliable. Long time customer that is fed up with missed appointments and a call service that can't do anything. Time to find a company that invests in their employees more than their ads.

They literally got a 1 start because I could not select 0 stars!
Reliable Heating and Air has proven to be UNRELIABLE! Please don't fall for the comfort solutions scam where you pay a monthly rate. You expect to have 24 hour service if there are issues. That's definitely not happening. The customer service agents are trained to lie. They tell you what you want to hear to get off the phone, but no one ever calls, sends a confirmation text or email, or shows up. We've been calling since Thursday, May 19. We were told that the earliest appointment was Saturday, May 21, 12-4. After we hadn't heard anything from a technician by 2:30 on Saturday, we made another phone call. We were told that a technician would call soon with an ETA. We made another call around 3:40. This time we were told that we never had an appointment confirmed, but a technician would arrive at our home at least by morning. We requested a supervisor and we're told that none were available. We asked to leave a message for a supervisor. We decided to make a third call around 9:00pm and we were told that an emergency request was being submitted for someone to come out that night. Well, it's Sunday and not one phone call from a supervisor neither has a technician arrived. This morning, we sent a message through the internet contact us. We called twice. The first customer service agent had the audacity to actually say that it will be June 2nd! Really! What happened to 24 hours? The second customer service agent added our name to the ""emergency standby"" list for today and confirmed an appointment for tomorrow. We haven't received a confirmation for that appointment either. Is there anything reliable about the way this has been handled?

Going with Coolray after being charged a $125 ""diagnostic fee"" for them to come out and tell me they no longer support units that have my Freon type. I escorted the technician to the unit, and he literally took one look at the sticker with Freon type and said he couldn't service it. There was no evaluation or thoughtful diagnosis, so I commented to him that I could have texted a pic of the sticker to him to save the money. He just smiled.
This should have been mentioned when I made the appointment to easily screen me out and save us both time and energy. After calling to try and get a refund - and speaking with 4 different people - they maintain there was a diagnosis and refuse to refund. Poor way to do business, especially in this economy.

Another great experience with Reliable Plumbing! Efrain was here within the hour of service call. Responded promptly by phone to give me an ETA. Arrived (with mask on) on time and was very personable, knowledgeable and professional. Explained work needed to be done to unclog my sewage drain and explained process and progress as he worked. Price VERY reasonable for work completed. Will definitely continue to reach out to Reliable as needed and put a special request in again for Efrain for plumbing issues.

if i had something good to say, i would but i don't, it's been almost 2 months since i had the unpleasantness of giving UnReliable my business 1st of all they did not fix my problem and charged me $1100 then to tell me i need a new unit so laughable i could cry...i got a 2nd opinion from Premier Heating and Air they fixed my issue, took the time to check everything and it only cost me a fraction of this now i am out of more money. i've been trying to resolve this for a month and they are avoiding me i've called and emailed them what they asked for and NOTHING ,,, GIVE ME MY FREAKING MONEY BACK... YOU DID NOTHING BUT TAKE MY MONEY and now you don't even have the dignity to address this...

A simple fix without the sales pitch, I can appreciate that. Travis was on time, courteous, and professional! (Mask and shoe covers the whole time). Diagnosis, unclogged pipe, changed filter, inspected furnace, inspected heat pump, nothing else needed at this time.
The website says call text 24/7. I text, responses were a little slow but I was able to get the service appointment completed within 24hrs. Easy job, quick and efficient service call.

This has been a horrible experience not responsive at all took heater and AC apart to replace and haven't heard from them since I would not recommend using them at all sent one technician out to remove and install a new unit

Crooked, criminal, dishonest, and untrustworthy is how I would describe this business. They are anything but ""reliable"". Called to check my downstairs unit out and the technician(more like salesman) diagnosed a bad thermostat and then a bad compressor on my unit. He tells me it's a better option to just buy a new unit. He then brings out a price chart that is way overpriced as their base thermostat was $300+ and you can go to Home Depot and get the best one for $200. This tipped me off to call another company and double check. Second REPUTABLE company comes and finds the issue for the basic service call price of $90. I could've spent $3000-$7000 if I didn't double check this company to be telling me the truth!
