Install went well. It was getting the plumbing permit inspected that failed miserably. Jennifer Frazier is horrible at her job. Set up to have our inspection on 12/6 well before the Thanksgiving holidays. She failed to get it scheduled with the county before the 2pm cut off on 12/5. Then did not give us ample notice that there would not be an inspection on 12/6. Tried to blame the county until I told her I had already talked to them and they sent me a copy of her email chain clearly showing she tried to schedule it after 3pm. After I spoke to her boss we rescheduled for 12/13. I have received nothing further from them. Not saying it is confirmed for today, or that it has to be rescheduled again. I have emailed, called and texted them. As of noon today I have not heard a word.

my Heater stopped working when it was very cold out, a tech came out and looked at the unit for about 2 hours which seemed a little odd. He then tells me there's a part need to be replaced which he didn't have in the truck and they have to order a new part.i had to call the office 3 or 4 times over 2 weeks to try to get an answer on what's going on with this part and when they'll be back out to fix the heater. I never got an Answer. So about a week later the tech shows up with the new part, doesn't call before he comes just shows up, I did have text from the company saying someone would come today but still no call before hand. He again works on the unit for about an hour and a half, can't fix it says the brand new part was defective. I thought it sounded like bullshit so I called a different company they fixed the heater in 15 minutes. The part didn't need to be replaced at all. The Reliable tech simply had no idea what he was doing and wasted my time and the companies time and money. He also left his little tabs for his new tools all over the attic.

Don't use this company, they send Techs out that are liabilities and could cause more problems for your home and family.

Reliable and Chris McKinney committed FRAUD.
Do NOT do business with this company.
Reliable Heating and Air employees including its manager, Chris McKinney, lied, committed fraud, damaged my property, and then continued to lie about it.

Reliable was supposed to swap out water heaters in our building. They removed my 50-gallon water heater. (And they had no issue removing it, it did not require any additional tools). Instead of installing their equivalent, which was a 47-gallon, they installed a 37-gallon.

When I asked them about it, first Chris McKinney denied I had a 50-gallon in the first place. Then he said it was because the diameter of their 47-gallon water heater was too big. (it was not, he lied). Then he said he couldn't do it because of the clearance. Then it was because the water needed to be shut off. All turned out to be lies.

I contacted the plumbing company who installed my previous 50-gallon and got the paperwork. That paperwork confirmed I had a 50-gallon water heater. In comparing the specs of the 50-gallon with Reliable's 47-gallon, Reliable's had a smaller diameter water heater. Looked into the clearance and the water shut off with my building manager, they were okay to shut it off. Chris then said he still couldn't do it, and it would need soldering (fire to pipes). I brought out another plumbing company and asked if it does, and they said, ""no it does not need soldering"". (Mind you Chris's guys did not do any additional work to remove the 50-gallon that was already there).

None of Chris McKinney's reasons were true. He had the nerve to try and sell me a ""great deal, a favor as he called it"" where he would charge me his price on a Water Heater Booster for an additional $400. Found the same unit on the internet for less than $400.

Chris McKinney and this company got the contract and got paid good money. In return they provided poor service and poorly trained, incompetent employees. Chris McKinney was rude, disrespectful, and combative.

Also, one of the techs, Neil, slammed the dolly on my wooden floors and left a dent, which they also all lied about and declined to take accountability. Chris stated they prefer to get sued instead of doing the job they were paid to do.

You want competent, trustworthy, reliable plumbing? Stay away from so-called Reliable.

PS. I have all the emails & documentation that prove they committed fraud.

Do NOT do business with this company. I purchased an AC/furnace unit from them. I was going to pay cash; however, the salesman gave me the option to pay monthly with no insurance fee and could pay off whenever I wanted to. I had direct payments going each month without missing a payment and with excellent credit. Recently, I applied for a HELOC to do some home improvement and was told that I had a judgment/lien on my home title from Reliable Heating and Air. The salesman did not disclose this to me at the time of the purchase, and he only gave me one page of the contract. When I questioned Reliable about this they sent me a page from the contract that I had never seen before with the fine print stating they reserved the right to use a UCC on your property. I would not have agreed to this if I had known or been informed of this by the salesman and would have simply paid for the unit out of my savings, which I ended up doing anyway. After contacting customer service, I was told they would charge me $ 300 to temporarily ""lift"" the lien. After two years of payments, I ended up paying off the owed amount, which was still almost the original cost of the unit. This was an extremely deceptive business practice, and after being a loyal customer since 2015, I have parted ways with Reliable Heating and Air. I can understand using a mechanics lien with a client with bad credit or missed payments. Still, not someone with excellent credit who has never missed a payment, plus has a history of doing business with the company. I would highly recommend you look for another company to do business with. I also checked with several other companies, who advised that I was grossly overcharged for the unit I purchased. Reliable Heating and Air is a disappointment as a company and does not treat your customers in the manner that they deserve.

I strongly advise against doing business with this company. I purchased an AC/furnace unit from them, intending to pay in cash. However, the salesman offered a monthly payment option with no insurance fee, which I accepted, believing I could pay it off at any time. I maintained direct monthly payments without missing a single one, and my credit is excellent.

Recently, while applying for a HELOC for home improvements, I discovered a judgment/lien on my home title from Reliable Heating and Air. This was never disclosed to me at the time of purchase; I was only given one page of the contract. When I questioned the company, they sent me a page I had never seen before, which included fine print stating they reserved the right to use a UCC on my property. Had I been informed of this, I would have paid for the unit outright from my savings, which I ended up doing anyway.

Upon contacting customer service, I was informed there would be a $300 charge to temporarily ""lift"" the lien. After two years of payments, I paid off the amount owed, which was nearly the original cost of the unit. This deceptive practice led me to end my relationship with Reliable Heating and Air after being a loyal customer since 2015.

While I understand the use of a mechanic's lien for clients with poor credit or missed payments, this should not apply to someone with excellent credit and a perfect payment history. I highly recommend seeking another company for your HVAC needs. Other companies informed me that I was significantly overcharged for the unit. Reliable Heating and Air's practices are deeply disappointing, and they do not treat their customers as they should.

Buyer beware! While Reliable provides excellent HVAC service stay away from buying a standby generator from them. They will try to sell you their ""comfort plan"" which is an equipment lease. The monthly amount will vary based on the size of the generator. What they tried to sell me was an 8 year lease at $239/mo. The total payments would amount to over $22,000. At the end of the 8 years I could buy out the lease for an additional $8100. The size generator they recommended would cost roughly $6500 at Home Depot. The cost if I bought it outright in the beginning was $18,000, almost 3 times the cost of the equipment. Don't buy from one of these companies installing generators. Buy the equipment yourself and hire an electrician to install it.

This company is a nightmare. It took them three months to attempt to perform summer service but then insisted on pushing the service to when it was so cold that a AC service cannot be reliable performed according to manufacturer specifications (at 59°F).

I asked their tech not to do one thing, don't wake my wife who works nights as a nurse - what did the tech do? They started in the attic and sounded like they were dribbling metal basketballs. It went downhill from there. The tech spent the rest of the time trouping in and out and yelling from downstairs upstairs or yelling from downstairs to upstairs.

I tried calling the company but even after 20 minutes on hold there's no one there who cares.

TLDR: I paid Reliable and my a/c didn't work when they left

My rep was nice but didn't pre-quote me until he already started the work. And I felt pressured to pay since the work was half way done. Even after doing the work the a/c didn't work and I was told that my unit was too old ( which it is). And then tried to sell me into their monthly plan and to book a replacement appt for the next day.

I had already scheduled another tech from another company for right after. So he double checked the work and found a cut in my air duct. He taped it up and replaced my fluid and now my air conditioner works great. The unit is old so I am going to replace it eventually with this other company. So shout out to that other company. They also did the work in less time too, had a warranty and minor but appreciated , wore slippers over his boots while walking thru my home.

Set up a a 4 hour appointment window. They called at 1035 saying the technician is finishing up and will be on the way. 1.5 hour later I call and it's going to be another 30 mins.

Reliable ha! More like unreliable! Never will use them ever again! Very disappointed!!!
