We selected Cham and Regent5 because of the stellar Yelp reviews, and we're really happy we did. He worked within our budget, and especially within our desire to set up a modular, easy to upgrade system. His team was diligent, even helping us troubleshoot unrelated issues to make our setup better as they worked. After the install, Cham came by for 2 hours on a Sunday to walk us through everything. Highly recommended!

First, I rarely write reviews but home IT can be infuriating. I found Cham (Regent 5) on Yelp and having used his services with such a positive outcome I felt I should pass on the info for others to benefit as well.

Cham is a pro. He is honest and thorough. He will think through the issues you are experiencing and problem solve. He will not sell you equipment. He tells you exactly what to buy and you can shop around. He charges an hourly fee and while expensive he is efficient and complete and in the end Cheaper (in most cases) and much delivers a much higher quality solution. I will not use another provider going forward. I hope you have the same experience.

Usually I am not lost for words .. especially on Yelp. I am however, beyond words that would adequately describe the AWESOMENESS that is Cham and Regent5.

We hired Regent5 after finding them on Yelp. Promptly returned our inquiry, arrived at the appointment at the appointed time, took a look around and spent a good amount of time asking us exactly what our concerns and needs were . Within a week we had an estimate and gave the thumbs up to get into Cham's already packed schedule. He slotted us in 60 days later and guess what? YES! Started on the day he initially promised.

Im telling you this company is Soup to Nuts.

The home automation, home security, home theater, and total home networking is now seamless, efficient, clean and ... well .... AWESOME!! Im not a technocrat. I like my components neat, I like the wires clean, I like my home theater easy to use with incomparable sight and sound, I like my wireless FAST, I want my home security state of the art, and I want it all done CORRECTLY. Cham and Regent5 does IT ALL. Did I mention he patched AND painted the walls?

Call me, text me, message me, the entire crew at Regent5 is LEGIT.

Cham and his crew were terrific! We called them to help us update/reconfigure our home wireless system and Cham was prompt, told us everything we needed to get and got the job done quickly and was very reasonably priced. I had been looking for some AV and security work and spent a lot of time on Yelp. After getting multiple quotes and visits, called Cham and set up a visit. Cham is thoroughly professional and a very pleasant man. He came and explained all the issues I was having and also various solutions based on cost. He helped me decide on the best option for my house (it's not a very big place). Cham and his team arrived on time and spent almost the entire day wiring and setting up my AV system. Once done, he walked me through every step and explained how to use the system. He basically made it idiot proof (I needed that :) ). After a couple weeks I had another issue with my TV in one of the rooms and Cham came by to fix it - AT NO CHARGE (on a weekend)!! His work ethic is very high and the overall cost was very affordable. I would very highly recommend Regent5 for all your home AV/security needs. I wouldn't look elsewhere.

We worked with the Regent5 team for our home theater in our San Francisco home, and we were so happy about it that we called them again for our Los Altos Hills home. Cham and his team are extremely competent and professional. We've worked with plenty of contractors and automation specialists, and Regent5 is by far the best experience we had. They helped us pick components and finalize a design for our system, and have been extremely effective in executing our projects. From taking shoes off and cleaning up after themselves, all the way to making sure everything works well, I couldn't recommend them more.

We hired Cham and team to redo our home theater setup. We moved an existing free standing setup to a hidden in-ceiling speaker system (with in wall subwoofer), and mounted TV. In addition, all of the wiring was rerouted to a nearby closet where the equipment was mounted/stored (receiver etc).

Project went great, it took about 3-4 days, the team was very professional, and cleaned up each day. End product was fantastic, sounds and looks great, and the process Cham and I went to arrive at the final build list was good - he presented ideas/ranges and I ended up selecting what I wanted. Where he considered something not a great fit he would tell you (which turned out to be right), so he guidance was great and appreciated.

All the positive reviews on Yelp for Regent 5 and Cham are spot on. Cham installed a home surveillance system, our home network and our a/v systems. He is a great listener and happy and extremely helpful in working with a budget, dealing with our quirks and preferences, and in repurposing equipment where it makes sense. He is very knowledgeable about the technology and adept at adjusting to our level of savvy.

As others have mentioned, our work entailed wiring and rererouting a fair amount of cable. His crew was clean, neat and efficient. We cannot tell where they had to patch the walls and ceilings.

Although he is extremely busy (we suspect that he gets a lot of referrals and repeat business), he is responsive and cheerful. No question that we would use him again and have already recommended his services to friends.

Cham and Regent5 are great. After some really bad luck with another vendor (here's a tip: if a sales guy ever says ""But I won't make any money if I do that!"" then find another firm) I asked for a home automation system that I could program and change myself, as my husband and I are both highly technical and want to own the stuff in our house, not just license it. After no other vendors would even respond to me, Cham finally did. Instead of upselling me on Control4 or Savant -- which both have their uses, just not in my home -- he told me to just go with Harmony. He was the only vendor with the correct answer.

He and his team came in, yanked out all of the old stuff, put down drop cloths and taped up dust shields, and went to town. In three days I had things mounted and reinstalled and working perfectly.

Cham is trustworthy, smart, and best of all he listens to your needs and sells you what will solve your problem, not what will make him the most money. I cannot recommend him highly enough.
