Jothi and his team were great. We had a unique project and Jothi was 100% behind the idea. We had designed our own solar power system with the help of a solar supply company. We needed someone to install it and that's where Redwood Electric came into the picture. This approach was cheaper and far higher quality than the ""solar installer companies"". Jothi and his team did a fantastic job installing the system. I was hands on from the start so when I told Jothi I would be on the roof too, he welcomed it and his guys were great. I worked on the roofing aspect and they handled the solar gear install side of things. We couldn't be more happy with the final result! We have a very high quality system installed by a great team. Big Thank You to the Redwood Electric crew!

I don't usually write reviews but I felt obligated in this case because of the excellent job that Redwood did. I have worked with a number of electrical contractors over the years and, unlike some other trades, have generally found them professional and efficient. But the problem for a homeowner is that you generally have a small job, which is nonetheless important for you, but not that appealing for the contractor. So they are hard to schedule. In this case, I had an attic exhaust fan that needed to be replaced, and what made it hard was that it wasn't mostly an electrical job. It had to be accessed through a small exterior door that was up three stories, in a difficult space, where a squirrel had been wreaking damage. Several contractors had not bothered to return my call. By contrast, Jothi returned my call quickly, and got his crew out here quickly. With the old fan in hand, they quickly found a good replacement and got it installed, without any follow-up or encouragement on my part; they were very pro-active. The crew was intelligent and resourceful. The exterior door latches had been stuccoed and painted over; they managed to get them open without damage. Definitely not the usual electrical work. The charge for the work was very reasonable, particularly given the circumstance. So, in short, I would definitely go to them again with any electrical work.

Jothi and his team are great to work with. We just survived an extremely challenging remodel and he made sure that the electrical portion of the work was NOT challenging. He was solid, calm, reliable, responsive, and responsible throughout. I am happy to give them five stars and would highly recommend them.

I had recessed lighting, dimmer switches, light fixtures, outdoor flood lights and porch lighting work done about 2 years ago. The quality of work was excellent and done in a timely fashion. I am definitely going to use Jothi and his crew again.

Redwood (Jothi Param and his team) finished up a large project for me last week that was done over four days. The job was priced upfront with a clear explanation of both labor and material charges. I had them install new and replacement lighting in six rooms (recessed; track; and sconces). The start of the job needed to be timed with the roofer as new wiring was laid under a new roof. The job went smoothly and everyone was a pleasure to work with. There was one small problem with the placement of a track and that was corrected promptly with a smile. My wife added a small job (45 min) rerouting wiring to a timer from downstairs to upstairs and Jothi included that at no charge. I highly recommend Redwood Electric. You won't be disappointed. I need to highlight the demeanor of owner Jothi Param - always calm, with a clear, direct approach to problem solving and explanations. The best I've ever witnessed.

I needed to have three baseboard heaters installed as well as to have an electrical outlet repaired and up until I called Jothi Param - I had lost hope. It seemed like I would never find any contractor / electrician who would actually return a call or even show up for a scheduled on-site estimate but Jothi Param , the owner of Redwood Electric really impressed me.

Aside from promptly return phone calls and scheduling a estimate, Jothi and his crew were punctual, professional, courteous and very respectful of my home. They did a great job knocking out the work, while making sure to clean up any mess from the installation and answering any/all questions I had. I didn't feel I was gauged on price as has been the case with other electricians in the past, I was happy to pay for the service I received and would do so again.

There was even an issue with one of the heaters that I suspect was a manufacturer defect , I called Jothi and without any hesitation he returned , tools in hand and fixed it, no questions asked.

Bottom Line- I highly recommend Redwood Electric, Jothi and his crew, for any future electrical work needed, there is no decision to make for me, it will be Redwood Electric!

I am revising my lower review because after some time, Redwood Electric came out and fixed a simple problem with one of the outlets not working that they installed in my garage. Although it took a good while to coordinate with them for the fix, Jothi came out and fixed all the issues with a smile, and I am all set to go. Reading the other reviews on this site, it seems like my experience was an not usual and that the problem is now fixed, I am upping my review.

Jothi and his team did a great job on several recent electrical jobs at our house recently. We had an old, outdated chandelier replaced in our living room entryway, which has a very high ceiling. It looks great! He also figured out a way to hide all of the ugly wires on our TV, which is placed above a fireplace. Huge improvement. The third job was to install recessed LED lighting in two of our bedrooms that previously had no lighting at all. He did all of this work in one day, so he even knocked a couple hundred dollars estimate since it didn't take as long as he anticipated. We thought that was very honest. He was also very nice and patient with our 3 year old son, who was very interested in his tools and kept wanting to show him all of his toys and books while he was working, and our crazy German Shepherd who wanted to jump on him. We have a couple of other upcoming projects, so we'll be calling him again soon!

Replaced my 60 year old subpanel, upgrading my electrical service line and added arc fault interrupters in the new subpanel.

This review is long overdue...it was an all day job, but all went well. They got the permit and coordinated with PG&E and the Concord inspector before and at the end of the job. They arrived about 7:30 a.m. and the electricity was back on at 6:00 p.m. when PG&E was able to come back a little over an hour after the job was finished. Only one issue came up during the job, but was resolved at our mutual satisfaction at no extra cost. Jothi is stress-free to deal with, and very honest and knowledgeable.

This is one of very few contractors I will keep using and have absolutely no worries about it! They'll be back this year - two ceiling fans have failed.
