I highly recommend RC Electrical Services. Owner, Rafael, has been an absolute pleasure to work with. I first contacted RC Electrical in June 2023 about my plan to renovate 3 rental units I have in San Diego. I needed 2 unit main panels upgraded to 200 AMP and 1 unit to 100AMP. Rafael responded same day to my email request, and set appointment the following week. After I provided scope of work, he was very patient in explaining the process to schedule SDGE disconnect/ reconnect and all permit issues. His competitive bid followed a few days later. Due to SDSG backlog, it was almost 6 months to disconnect/reconnect schedule to upgrade main panels. However in the meantime, Rafael was supportive the following months in advise my foreman and I on proper preparation wiring for the 2 kitchen, 2 bath remodels, 2 tankless water heaters, 5 mini splits, multiple outdoor GFIs, and 4 EV charging stations I'm installing at rental units One month prior to the SDGE disconnect/reconnect for panel upgrade, Rafael was there to review and correct our wiring efforts, and starting pulling unit conduit wiring in anticipate of the deadline. Upon main panel install date, Rafael was on site to work with the SD City permit inspector to confirm everything met code. -- I'm still working with RC Electrical Services on my renovation project, and I am so happy I found such a professional and hard working electrician.

I had Rafi complete two projects at my house and I was pleased with the work, price and timing. He walked me through the job first and explained the timing it would take to rewire the kitchen and upstair bedrooms.

We used Ralphie of R C Electric in the past with good results. He and the service have changed. He came out to our house to resolve an electrical problem in several of our fixtures. He was swearing most of the time he was here. He took apart fixtures in two bath rooms. He spent 3 hours and then found the problem was a faulty GFI receptacle. He admitted he should have found it in the first 30 minutes. We paid him for the full three hours. He put the fixtures back together very fast and left. After he left we found the heat lamps in both bath rooms no longer worked, and they worked fine when he started working. I called - no reply, I texted him. He told me to stop complaining and get a handyman to replace the bulbs. I again texted and said it was not a bulb and asked him to finish the work he was paid for. Ralphie text back not to bother him again, and get someone else. I now have lights that don't work that did when he started and will have additional expense to fix the problem Ralphie left.
And yes I have his texts insulting us and refusing to fix the problem he created.

Poor communication and the job was half-assed. After promising to make all the wiring in my garage up to date, I keep finding things that were left as is and are not functional. New box was not sufficient for the charging system it was installed with. Had to come back to finish something that had been promised and wasn't done. Still finding staples in my garage.

Maybe it was a bad day but I am disappointed.
