Company Overview

When it comes to electrical work, if something is malfunctioning, we repair it. If something is absent, we provide the necessary installation. If there’s an impediment, we will shift it. If you’re not sure what to choose, we can offer advice on the best approach.

We specialize in adding, repairing, relocating, removing, and upgrading all electrical components. This includes installing dedicated circuits, switches, outlets, lighting, fans, and more.

We also create and install tailored home audio-video systems, including receiver configurations, flush-mounted speakers, and flat-screen TV setups with hidden wiring. We also offer security camera systems, Ethernet connections, and phone and TV jacks.

Ensure that the electrician you choose holds a valid contractor's license, active bonding, and insurance in California. Some local Yelp advertisers may not operate legally.

We are a family-owned, licensed, bonded, and insured electrical contracting firm focused on providing outstanding service. We strive to make sure your projects are well-organized, completed promptly, within budget, and executed in a friendly way.

Our services cover all types of residential electrical installations, from basic recessed lights or outlet additions to intricate lighting controls, including remodels and new home electrical setups. Our experienced residential electricians take extra care, starting by covering your belongings and carpets with plastic before commencing work.

Brian Rainey serves as the Owner and Operator of RB Electrical Service. Having moved from the San Francisco Bay Area, he has called the Murrieta Valley home since 1990 and has been an electrician since leaving high school. Brian has done numerous electrical projects in our home and outside and we have to say, he is THE most punctual, honest, fair, thorough, efficient, dependable, knowledgeable professional we have ever hired! Even when we haven't been 100% sure as to what we're looking to do, Brian listens, provides great insight, then ultimately gives us exactly what we wanted...often even better! We can't recommend Brian and RB Electrical enough!

RB electrical did an awesome, quick and thorough job when servicing my house, I had multiple tedious things that needed to be done and they handled It all, even with my home being a much older home. Not only did they do the job but kept me informed and educated the whole way. After they left I felt confident in the work that was done and trust that I can call them any time.

I can only say good things starting with RB Electrical quickly responding to my inquiry, good communication from start to finish, fair price and and a job well done in a timely manner.
Jaime was punctual, professional and did a clean job putting in a new chandelier where there has been no prior fixture.
I am very happy and will use this company again if needed.

I highly recommend this company. I was quoted a reasonable price prior to the work, and the electrician kept his promise. There were no upcharges after the work was completed. I was impressed with the quality of service and the ability of the electrician to diagnose and fix the problems within a short time. Electrician was nice and professional and he even text/called me when in route to my house. I have been upgrading homes for the past 10 years and my advice.....always higher a professional electrician. It will save you money and a lot of frustration.

Brian is very good at what he does. He is professional and knows his stuff.
We had an issue with the equipment that we hired him to run electrical to and he was MORE than helpful in helping to find where the problem was with the equipment. That was obviously not part of his workmanship but he was here to help anyway. He cares about his customers. He is conscientious of his work and very service oriented.
I highly recommend RB Electrical.

★☆☆☆☆

Brian from RB is a straight up electrical installation/troubleshooting guy. He does not provide a comprehensive low voltage solution! I recently hired him and his crew for a low voltage job on a new home build. His scope was generic and unfortunately I didn't question him. I assumed that when he said he can provide a low voltage design that he will do a thorough job but he rushed through it without giving it adequate attention to detail. All Brian asked was where the cable drops were. He didn't care about aesthetics, he didn't care about the coordination of the various drops. He didn't do a walk-through after delivery, in fact, he left the site without a word and left the cables unlabeled and untested. When I asked him to confirm that he will provide a patch panel, he confirmed in the e-mail that he will but what he provided was just the media cabinet and expressed that a 8 port switch would be extra. I explained to him that a patch panel is not the same thing as a switch. I honestly don't think he knew what a patch panel was until I sent him a picture. The sum of it is that I never got my patch panel.

After I called and emailed him, I was finally able to get him to come back on site after I identified additional issues. He deemed them out of scope despite not delivering what I wanted in the first place. In the end, instead of the patch panel, I compromised by asking for 2 more cables and one ethernet jack to compensate for the mishaps. All the runs would have been in the same 10 x 15 foot room that the media cabinet was also located. I was on site with the builder to help out with all the corrections but Brian insisted on charging me $200 extra for this even though I already paid him $3,095 for the job. I was disappointed to say the least.

This guy will nickel and dime you every chance he gets. Don't work with him unless you are in a jam (which I was). Learned my lesson.
