Kevin L.Raceway Electric has my highest recommendation. Setting the appointment was friendly and easy - though they *do* book a week or two out. Sam the electrician arrived on time to install an external (weatherproof) power outlet and quickly completed the task - less than 45 minutes on-site. Their trucks are clean and well-stocked w/ parts and I couldn't be more delighted with the service. Raceway will be my first call the next time I need ANY electrical work done fast, well, and priced fairly!
I had three fans that needed to be looked at as they weren't working as they should, and my house was in escrow. Two fans, they fixed. One fan they ruined. The light would spontaneously turn on and off - this was the only thing wrong with it. He explained it was the coding in the remote, and the neighbor might have the same code, thus spontaneously turning it on and off. He said he could fix it. He adjusted the code, then took down the fan/light to work on it. Now, it the fan doesn't work at all, either by using the remote or the switch. The light only works with the switch. It is MUCH worse than before they came. To close escrow, I now need to get a new fan, and have another electrician come out (I don't dare have them come back). A job that should have cost about $550 is now at least $1,000. We called the owner to complain, he denied the fan worked before he came, even though he tested it. Bad integrity of this company, I am more than disappointed.
We met with several electricians for estimates on some small jobs around our house. Mike listened to our requests, offered excellent suggestions, and provided a very competitive estimate. He was able to get us scheduled quickly. His team was professional and thorough in their work. We'll be using them again for future projects!
Chris W.Sam & Billie arrived promptly and took the time to go over the work order with me, I was grateful for that and it gave me an opportunity to make some changes. They were professional and knowledgeable and didn't seem to mind my questions. I would use them for any and all electrical jobs that will come my way in the future. Thank you Raceway Electric for the stellar service.
Eric P.Great customer service and they really talk you through the issues. I ended up going with a different company, but I would consider them for future jobs.
Frank D.Steer clear. Ripped me off of a $350 deposit to add a new service panel. Nothing was done and they drug it out for months. While I was waiting for the panel upgrade, I foolishly allowed them to do some work in the meantime that I paid for. Some of the work was shoddy but I still paid them even though they charge $120 per hour plus a 30% markup on any supplies they use. They later tried to charge me a 2nd time for the same shoddy work. Do yourself a favor and find another electrician.
Sam at Raceway was AMAZING!
He identified the problem within 10 minutes and had the repair completed within an hour. Raceway's pricing was also great and they were able to come out within a couple of hours on the day I called them. We had another contractor come out and replace breakers... which was never the problem to begin with. If you are looking for an honest, timely and trustworthy Electric and Solar company, look no further. I wish I had know before I installed my solar but I'm happy to know of them now!
Jon M.Another awesome job completed by Raceway Electric! I originally called for service for an inoperable GFCI outlet and two light switches that stopped working. Not only did Billy come out and fix those items, I also remembered I needed an outdoor outlet and cover for the backyard, which he handled. As always, he was professional, knowledgeable, efficient, courteous and personable. These guys are the BEST!
Disappointed in the customer service and pricing this company provides. Got an estimate from the owner, Mike, for changing out outlets and light switches (from Decora to toggle and replacing some with timers and dimmers - about 60 total give or take). Original estimate came in at $1120. Ended up agreeing to $970 estimate based off of the expert owner's estimate of work. After the two employees completed their work which was two guys 3 hours each or 6 work hours for both (breakdown is pricing from the company: $125 first hour, $95 for next two hours total of $315 each), so the total without tax was $630 which ends up being $340 less than $970 (agreed estimate) and $490 from the original estimate of $1120. Mike contends that they are ""experts"" in their field, which I guess is supposed to be the reason for the overpricing. I take issue with owner Mike's overestimate of the time it was going to take them - I am a layperson not knowing how long ""experts"" take to change out the outlets and switches which is a basic task so I of course had to go off what he said the job would take. If the job was a complicated or involved project, I might not have an issue with what they overcharged. The employees finished up an hour and a half early or three hours for both of them. They probably ran off to another job and are getting double pay for the hour and a half they left me early, although I don't know if this is the case. I addressed my concerns with Mike directly and got nowhere, no offer to split the difference to make the customer happy and to be fair, nothing other than a question from him whether their work was okay. I did not have issue with the work, other than the clean up vacuuming needed to be better (drywall left in my carpet and on the tile floor and I had to have the guys redo work because one new switch in the closet didn't turn on the light which they did not notice) and I had to clean up black fingerprints from the light plates and outlets. Very disappointed in the lack of customer service, especially at this time when all of us are hurting financially. Guess Raceway Electric won't be hurting with the extra $340 they got from me. Would not recommend this company unless you like supplementing Raceway's bottom line for nothing in return.
Kevin M.Can't say enough about Raceway. After getting a tankless water heater installed I needed to move an outlet. I call Raceway and set up an appointment. Mike showed up and not only installed a new outlet he realized my garage refrigerator was plugged into a faulty gfi outlet and switched that out also. Mike was on time and extremely friendly. I highly recommend Raceway for any of your electrical needs.
