Rouben is one of the ""good"" ones. He came immediately to give me an estimate when I first gave him a call. I told him what I wanted and he was confident he could do it. Other contractors were not as confident in the scope of work. I called him back to do the work and we walked it again. He was open to tell me what was being done and how he was going to do it. I had other suggestions and he was open to make it happen. If I wanted something that cost more, he would tell me straight up. I had a ceiling fan and an exhaust fan installed both working great and both looking good. The price was right with no drama or no issues. Before he left I even offered a tip, but he refused.

If I need more electrical work done, I will call Rouben.

2 words: CALL ROOBIK!

We just bought a house in Pasadena, and needed someone to install recessed lighting throughout. Roobik came to provide me an estimate the same day I called him. This is the first major electrical job I have done, so I wasn't sure if I was getting a fair price. After calling and getting a second estimate from a different electrician for more than 3x the price, I immediately hired Roobik to complete the job.

It took him about a day and a half to complete the job. He showed up on time both days, and was very professional the entire time. He also had no problem at all with my dog being loose in the house while he worked...bonus points for that!

A couple of examples why Roobik will be my first call for all future electrical needs:

1. He cut all the lighting holes by hand, saying that it was more accurate, made less noise, and made less of a mess than using a power tool (even though it took longer)
2. He took extra time while installing the dimmer switches trying to find a way to not have to make holes in our walls. He installed 3 dimmer outlets and only had to make 1 hole (which he also patched for free as a part of the job).
3. We asked Roobik to re-locate an existing light switch in our guest room to a more convenient location. Not only did he fit this in to his schedule, when it was time to settle up at the end of the job he ASKED us if it would be ok if he charged us a little extra to cover the additional labor...how unheard of is that???

All in all, Roobik is an amazing electrician, runs a honest/fair business, and does great work. If you need electrical work...CALL ROOBIK!

Our building had old style buzzer system, after years and years the buzzer system stopped working in some of the units, we did contact few electricians and some of them refuse to repair or replace the unit because was older unit or gave us very high $$$ estimate. We called Mr. Roobik and he gave us the best price and quick service. He installed and test everything for 12 units and he followed up in few days to make sure everything is working fine. I went with Rouben of R. Power due to his outstanding reviews on Yelp and I am glad I did. I was impressed with Rouben for 2 main reasons, which are also the reasons you should go with him for any of your electrical needs:

1. PROFESSIONAL AND COURTEOUS - Rouben showed up right at the time we agreed upon and was very polite and professional during his time at my home. He was obviously knowledgeable and explained everything he was doing for the repair.

2. HONEST AND FAIR - Rouben also did great work very efficiently (figured out the exact problem which was a faulty transformer in my living room) and charged me a very fair price. He clearly cared about the quality of his work and is willing to do honest work to get paid fairly. He does not at all strike me as the type of person who would try to hike up charges for a job which is unfortunately commonplace in his industry.

If you live near Pasadena, Glendale or the surrounding area, I would give my highest possible recommendation to give Rouben a call if you are in need of an electrician.

We found Roobik on Yelp and he was our second choice (first choice never returned our call). On a Saturday morning we had no power to an entire circuit of our house after I had played amateur electrician and tried to connect a light switch. It was either a loose wire or a bad 60-year old breaker. A small job for a real electrician, but he was there within 45 minutes, and completed the work in an hour, including wiring the new switch and outlet (the breaker was OK). He explained our ancient electrical system to us, assured us that it was not dangerous, and gave us an informal estimate of what an upgrade might cost. Never pushy, always polite, and obviously very knowledgeable. His fee was very reasonable, in fact, I was surprised. It was much less than I had expected for a Saturday service call.

Roobik's contractors license isn't listed on Yelp, so I checked the CSLB web site (I ALWAYS check!) and Yes he is licensed by the Contractor State License Board and bonded with no actions or complaints listed. We enthusiastically recommend R. Power Service.

I too searched the reviews for an excellent electrician in my area and found a gem. I telephoned Rouben in the morning and he came out in the afternoon to find out what we needed done. Our old bathroom fan needed replacement and we asked him to also replace a dimmer switch which had its wires hanging out of the wall since my husband removed it 3 years ago. After discussing our options as to type and price of the fan and dimmer switch we would like, he explained the cost of installation and the approximate time to install each.
He is professional, honest, and prompt. When he arrived he brought all the tools necessary to do the job and when he was finished, he cleaned up the areas and left no debris or parts for us to dispose of. The price was right and we will definitely call him again in the future.

My neighbors tree fell in my garage yesterday at 4:30pm and took out all my power lines. By 6:30, Rouben and his team were here to assess the damage. Left to get supplies, came back and by 11:30pm, I had power completely back up and running at my house. There are fantastic, professional, efficient, and get the job done. Quickly!
