I bought an older house and looked for an electrician to help with grounding outlets, installing GFCI protection, fixing 3-way switches, and upgrading the electrical panel to 200 amps. We did look at other contractors, and their estimates were not as detailed and thorough. With RJB Electrical, we knew exactly what work would be performed and there were no surprises as to what the prices were and what was included. The work was done professionally, they were great at getting the necessary permits, and they ensured everything was done right the first time. I would definitely recommend them.

If you need help with your electrical issues make sure to hire RJB. Owner operated by folks who take pride in their work and do things right. It's unfortunately hard to find such dedicated tradesmen these days which makes RJB a rare find. Honest and skilled they will solve your electrical issues quickly and professionally. We asked RJB to update the decades old breaker panel and rewire some overloaded circuits in my mothers 1945 built home. Most recently there was a wire that fizzled underground that fed the garage (wasn't part of initial rewire job). Richard the owner and Harris the electrician handled each job with the type of service we all wish we could find more often. They truly are professionals.

I called this electrician after several other electricians failed to fix flickering recessed lights. Although they came out four times, they failed to fix them also. I finally figured out the problem myself which the electrician resisted. The electrician kept insisting that the problem was Edison's. All he had to do was install a better dimmer, which I ended up buying myself. He installed it and no more flicker. We assumed we might be out our initial payment of $98; however, we were charged an additional $248 on top of this. We disputed this excessive charge but still winded up paying $250 plus $50 for the dimmer. So $300 to replace a simple dimmer.

They need to be clear they are charging for each visit even when they fail to the problem the first visit. Never had this experience before. We assumed we were not being charged for additional visits to fix the same problem they failed to fix the first time.

I had 9 power outlets that did not work and they were all connected to 1 circuit breaker, yet other outlets on that same circuit breaker worked fine.
So I was on the search for a good electrician, a realtor friend of mine recommended ""RJB Electrical Contractor"" of Long Beach, CA.
I called them and spoke with the owner (Richard), we agreed for him to come out and assess the situation. Richard came out and checked things out and told me that my circuit breaker box is working fine and my problem is possibly an open or loose wire somewhere in one of the 9 power outlets.
We scheduled for one of his electrician to come. As promised on the scheduled day around 8:30am Harris came out, he was very polite and asked me to show him where are the 9 outlets that don't work, I did. He went to work right away checking everyone of them, a while later he found the loose wire inside one of them. Harris fixed it, then suggested that some of the power outlets around my house may need to be ""pig tailed"" because the way they were built (aluminum/copper), my house was built in 1966. I agreed to spend the money on not more than 5 outlets. Harris took his time to properly rewire each one of the 5 outlets that I indicated.
I'm giving this company 5 Stars, because of their professionalism, courteous and prompt service. Not only I will use RJB every time I need electrical work, but will definitely recommend them to my relatives and friends.
The owner Richard formed his company in 1984 (30 years) in business, what a great record. As far as his electrician Harris, I will always asked for him to be my electrician going forward, a great person and a true professional.

being in the hi-end service industry for over 20 years , i know great service when i see it... and with RJB Electric it is 1000 % there !!

our Landlord thankfully uses this company and i was lucky enough to experience their top notch service first hand ... not only were they ( Cory ) professional , courteous and quick ... they / he was here at the time i was told that he was supposed to be here ...

i will tell anyone that asks me that needs electrical work to call RGB ...


it's to bad that they don't run a brewery ... cuz it would be the best beer around !!
