We had a large project for updating electrical panels.
Had a number of bids from several contractors.
Mike's proposal was mid-range but most important was the professionalism and quality of the entire team !
Follow through on each step of the process including city permits was fantastic.
Would Highly recommend Prudential !!

I appreciate that they showed up as booked, wore masks and performed the work.

When someone comes to my home, and tells me the work that needs to be done after they have done the troubleshooting, I'm going to ask questions about what they are proposing.

I don't think its unreasonable to ask questions, in fact after explaining what needs to be done, the technician should invite questions to ensure you feel comfortable with what will be done.

Nothing is worse than 'man-splaning' and condescension. Unfortunately that's what we got. I had to go as far as explaining that I wasn't trying to be a jerk, I was simply asking so I can understand what was needed here. If you need to turn my electric off, there are some things I need to prepare....

And look, I called you because you are the expert in your craft. I expect you to know your craft well enough to answer my questions without being defensive.

I'm talking about a few basic questions based on the fact that I had to call you back to fix something after you'd been to my house for another problem that was connected to this new issue.

I just can't use this service anymore because the technician that came out seemed to get annoyed about my simple inquiry about the work that was being performed on my house. Maybe it was the end of a long hot day for him, but he's still a representative of his company and its reputation.

He also removed some dry wall and moved electrical box and didn't put the dry wall back. He said that because we didn't have drywall on the other side, we didn't need it on the side where he removed it? What happened to leaving something like you found it?? To do so is a sign of respect and I guess he just wasn't feeling that. Maybe if our home was in New Port Beach, you'd have put the dry wall back?

And here is the deal, you tell me that when you removed the drywall, you saw an issue that needed to be addressed. You addressed it. You told me you did this because you didn't want to risk your firms licensure and credibility by not doing so. Had you removed this dry wall in the first visit, you'd have seen how these two problems were or would absolutely be connected.

You charged me to roll the truck twice. You charged me for two visits. I paid you, and we're done.

I was really hoping to find a few reliable service providers on THUMBTACK, but with the electrician service, I have to go back to the drawing board.

I have had Prudential helping me with my remodel. I have been consistently pleased with their work. Adam, who I have been working with, is very knowledgeable, polite and professional. I highly recommend him. He answers my numerous questions and is helpful and also is obviously an honest person who comes and just does the work competently without any games or tricks. On my recommendation, my mom is now also using Prudential for electrical issues in her house. Very nice!

I was contacted immediately with a quote that was reasonable and then work scheduled the next day. I was given a reminder call the morning of and then the electrician, Adam, arrived at the exact scheduled time and I didn't have to wait around! Adam was informative, professional, clean and got the job done. No sales gimmicks and gave me options to fix my closet lights. Thank you Adam and Prudential Electric...I will call you for future projects and refer you to anyone who needs your services.

I will never recommend this company to my friends and family. The so called supervisor named Jason was so rude and obnoxious. They charged me $145/- just to turn the circuit breaker switch on.

I had explained the problem on the phone and also on the request form of the Home Advisor and they knew that it was something simple as turning the switch back to off all the way before turning it on.

I was doing the same thing except that I turned it on from the trip status, I was required to just turn it off before turning it on. All I requested was to give some discount because it literally took just 1 minute for the guy to show me and do it.

Any scrupulous company would have advised on the phone before coming and they just wanted to make $145/- for nothing. I think that it was highly unprofessional as well as bad business practice.
If I could I would give no start but because there is no option for that I am giving 1 star.

Called home warranty for outlet issues in the kitchen and they sent out prudential. The technician walked 5 feet into the house, looked at the remodel we were doing in a different room, and refused to even walk into the kitchen. The outlets were on circuits and in a wall that were never touched. That was fine, based on other reviews he probably couldn't help. Unfortunately, he filed a report with the warranty saying he ""traced the issue"", and the ""breakers were fine"". Not sure how he managed to trace wire and check breakers from the family room. That ""diagnosis"" cost me $75.

If he had looked at the issue, and determined it was caused in some way by the remodel, that would have been fine. If he was uncomfortable even looking at it, and stated that in his report, that would have been fine. Refusing to look, then lying about it, not fine.

SURPRISE CHARGES AND GOUGING PRICES! I called Fidelity Home Warranty for my door bell repair and some electrical plugs which were covered by the Fidelity policy. They sent me Prudential Electric. While at the house, I showed him my electrical panel which needs a cover. I told him I had the measurements but while I was on the phone, he took a photo and wrote down measurements anyway to give me a quote for having one made. Although I had already paid my co-pay to Fidelity for $75, before he left he asked me to pay him $150 for measuring the panel. When I objected, he got the owner Jenny on the phone to me who arrogantly insisted that they don't do anything that's not covered without charging even though they needed to get the panel information to bid on the job. She rudely insisted I pay them $95 but she offered to credit me that towards my purchase of the panel cover. The next day she said the panel cover would cost me $479! That included $189 for the sheet metal guy to make it, $145 for Prudential to drive the measurements from orange County to LA because the sheet metal guy doesn't use a computer and mail service was not acceptable. Then another $145 for Pru to drive back to LA to get the item and bring it to me. Isn't that ridiculous?? So, I took the measurements to a local sheet metal company and they gave me a price of $129. I told Jenny that I want my $95 back, for which I received no benefit, and she said ""No"". Jenny behaved arrogantly and chose to gouge me even though she was paid for their services by Fidelity. By the way, they couldn't even fix the doorbell. That is what Yelp is for - to report the experience to other consumers, cause what goes around comes around.
