This company installed a sub circuit for our water softener and water heater more than a year ago. Did a good job then. In the storm we just had they both stopped working and by testing on the phone with the boss at Prompt we realized something was wrong with the circuit, which is outdoors. Turns out one outlet had been knocked out and needed replacing. Boss told me what to do in the meantime to continue having hot water. When the service person came he fixed it and called the boss and he decided not to charge me for it. Prompt (as in their name), professional. A pleasure to deal with. They will be my go-to company for electrical.

This company is Flakey with no communication skills. Long story short... Called for estimate. Left v-mail. Edward called back to let me know he would call me again to set up an appointment. 6 days later, I called Edward again. He apologized for not calling me back...and set up an appointment for Tuesday at 1PM. No one showed. I called Edward again. He said he would have someone come out tomorrow, (Wed). A nice guy showed around 3:30. Told me he could not do anything that day. It was too late in the day. He said Edward would call me on Thurs. He did not call. I called Edward. Told him he sucked and I'm going elsewhere for services. FOREWARNING... BEWARE! This company sucks.

This is the second time I've had Prompt out for a job. The first time they replaced a busted circuit breaker the same day I called them. I'm glad because it was urgent!

This time they added a GFCI outlet behind my toilet (for the bidet/heated seat). I asked them for the outlet to be white on white, as opposed to having red and black buttons, and they actually had one on them in their van.

I called them at 10:30am to describe the job; they arrived around 12:30pm. They quoted me a reasonable price, I agreed, they wrote a short contract, I signed it, and they did the job in an hour and a half. It was complicated, more complicated than they had expected. They were careful around the toilet, fixtures, and lights. I was VERY worried when I saw the light hanging and the holes, but they left my bathroom cleaner than when they arrived. The patchwork where they made the hole was nearly perfect. I couldn't believe it.

This company guarantees free estimate. Nice. Maybe should change the name to when I feel like getting there electric. My first appointment they were there on time and pretty quick, Ready to spend no less than $2000 to just look at it. When I was ready to do the work and schedule, took two weeks, canceled twice, and no showed twice. They say that no job is too small, but, from my experience, when they thought I had a big job, and it turned out to be a medium job, they couldn't be bothered. I have wasted many hours waiting for them to "" possibly show up"" possibly showing up, and then not. I do not know about their electrician qualifications, because, I have never seen what they could do. But I can tell you their reliability is zero.....

I used Prompt several years ago to install some can lights. They did a great job back then so I called them out to install ceiling fans in three bedrooms. The guys did an excellent job on the installation and finished quicker than I expected. Even with breaking into the drywall and wood studs in the ceiling, they cleaned up everything really well.

Just used this company again. Came out the same day to look at the scope of my job and I had a quote within 24 hours and the work done within 48 hours. And great service (when installing a new light in my closet the even took the time to hang the crystals on it so I had no work to do myself!).

I had a great experience with Edward and Javier. First, they came to my house almost immediately when I called them. I called on a Saturday morning and within 2 hours Xavier was in my dining room installing my chandelier. Second, Xavier is so patient and helpful. He asks a lot of questions to make sure he gets everything exactly the way your want it, which I appreciate. He has great attitude too. Great work!! Their prices were decent too- definitely competitive. I would absolutely call them again for any electrician needs. Tip- ask for Xavier (pronounced Javier).

I feel compelled to provide a review of Prompt Electric Service. While I have many long term relationships with tradesmen, I did not have one with an Electrician. I called Prompt Electric Service blind out of the PennySaver. They arrived promptly to handle several small electric needs I had even though they're in Orange and I'm in West Newport Beach. (most companies wouldn't want anything to do with some jobs so trivial as mine.)

In summary they did an Excellent job, was very customer conscious, friendly, clean and accommodating! Juan, the lead Electrician and his helper were Outstanding, courteous and Professional in every respect! It was as though they were our Electrician Friends and wanted us to be satisfied on every aspect of their work.

PLUS the pricing was, in my opinion, Very Conservative! In my view, if you want an Electrical service company on whom you can depend, I would definitely recommend Prompt Electric Service. They are now considered to be MY Electricians.
