My family used this company to install a new ac unit in there summer home and we experienced the worst customer service. A/c unit was not installed properly the first time so we had to literally hunt down the boss to fix the A/C properly. What is even more suspicious now (three years later) is that we have 4 permits still opened by these guys and they are saying we have to pay to close permits ( $500.00)that they opened to complete the job. Shame on you guys!!! I will be contacting the BBB AS WELL AS MY LAWYER. BUYER BEWARE...DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE. IF YOU HAVE USED THEM MAKE SURE YOUR PERMITS ARE CLOSED!!! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE****DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! Our a/c unit was not working one day and we called Promag to come and fix it. The Diagnostic Tech, Jeff, came out and right away started saying we needed another unit. He was saying it was too small for our house, and the coils were getting rusted and started pushing to get a new unit and when we said we were not going to spend $5k for a new unit, he quickly said they would finance. I thought, is this guy INSANE?? MY UNIT IS 5 YEARS OLD!! I should have taken that as a warning of the kind of company this is. Mind you, the options were, buy a new fan motor, or buy a whole new unit. We told him to just replace the fan motor. The next con he tried was to tell us the motor was not under warranty and that it would cost $785 to buy a new one. Again I thought, how is a motor on a 5 year old unit NOT under warranty?? Most a/c manufacturers provide 5-10 year warranty. He said he looked on some site, and said the motor was not covered. So we told him to get the fan motor. He said he didnt have one in the truck, so he needed to get it. While he was gone, my wife then decided to check this out on her own, because again, this kid seemed like a con man. She called the original builder, and they confirmed the previous owners had extended the warranty and the motor was covered. My wife immediately called him and notified him that it is covered, when he told my wife that the warranty did not follow the unit, but the owner. AGAIN, IS THIS GUY INSANE?? He was trying every lie he could tell to get us to spend more money!! When we told him that made no sense he then ""offered"" to not charge for the unit and only charge for labor. What an offer...I told my wife to just cancel the whole thing because I could sense it was all about getting money, but we had no a/c and needed this repaired asap and he was already getting the motor, so we just let him complete the job. BIG MISTAKE!!! Two OTHER guys then came with the unit to install it. They installed it and the a/c began working. So we were happy...until I came home from work and realized the wiring was ty-wrapped OUTSIDE the unit and every time the unit cut on, it made a shrieking metal noise. My wife then called the office and spoke to the ""manager"" John that was EXTREMELY rude and could care less about the concerns she had with the unit He spoke to her for 5 seconds and just transferred the call to a secretary. So my wife needed to state our concerns AGAIN to this secretary and scheduled for someone to come back out to address our concerns. Let's see if they will rectify this!! I'm not holding my breath....

Arlene tried to push us off until Tuesday even though they started this job this past Tues and its Thursday now so that's 5 more days with damage and no ac after spending $7500 on a brand new system. After demanding someone come this morning as promised by Mike the day before, someone finally showed up at 5pm today and theres no way he can do all this work by himself right now. I doubt he even has a drip pan with him, they installed a bent one that's leaking everywhere, is my husband supposed to help him??? smh I expect a lot better job for $7500
The owner just called my husband, said the law states you have 3 days to refuse service. They started on Tues, still not finished today, Saturday, vents that still don't blow air, and damage to my ceiling, but he said he doesnt have to fix any of it and isn't going to. Guess I have some calls to make.... Pretty sure right of refusal is not for the damage done to my property. But if you want to start quoting the law, I can do it to...
Like for instance, the invoice is for a different handler than they actually installed. How do you get away with a bait and switch??? The county will be called first thing Monday morning to inspect all this work, plus the ""permit "" that JD sent my husband was wrong. Just one big disappointment after another. I added pictures of what it looks like in my house and attic as of today as well. Its Saturday and still not 100% working and still unrepaired damage, but instead of replacing the drip pan Mike and his little helper bent up, it was just bent back. I paid $7500 for damaged equipment and a damaged home.

Just now posting the permit for a job done last week. You sent that Arlene lady who has done nothing but lie and be rude to my home. I walk outside in my pajamas because I'm sick, and I see this scummy looking girl with mismatched socks and an attitude in my driveway. Proceed as to have an attitude when questions as to why her ass was on my property and who she was. I tell her to leave and she starts call me names and pulls out of my driveway only after I finally walked away from her. Then I turn around and she rolls down her window and tells me to take my old ass to bed.... seriously? Look at me and look at yourself. DO NOT SEND MIKE OR ARLENE TO MY PROPERTY AGAIN!! This was all done in front of my 11 year old daughter and neighbors.Those two are not to come here. 4/23
Dirty keep cancelling my inspections when I schedule them, why's that? Because you know it wont pass??

Just got off the phone with the permit office. They said promag went into their system and canceled my inspection at 1135am on Monday. Interesting, I scheduled the inspection Monday at 8 am. Then the Arlene lady showed up at my house shortly after where I tell her I already scheduled the inspection. She proceeded to drive back to ocala to her office and go into the system and delete my inspection appointment. This is a very mature way to do business. JD obviously allows his little employees to dress and behave like children. Despicable 4/25
Guess who failed the inspection!!! Yup you!! Ugh, now water is pouring out of our ceiling and they refuse to come repair 4/26 refuses to send someone other than the guy Mike who already fucked up my house once, why would we let him back?? My story is now being sent to all the papers and news stations

We purchased an air conditioner and a maintenance agreement from ProMag Energy Group. We called to schedule a checkup as stated in our agreement. When they did not call back, we called again. They said there was no one to service our area and they would refund our money. We called many time and the service supervisor promised to send the check. On one occasion we called and that supervisor was no longer working there. We even spoke with John Harris the owner of the company who said he would send the check. Three months later and many conversations we are still waiting for our $459.00 check.

Scammers. They sell a cheap $59.95 inspection that I just wanted to check out - mainly because I couldn't believe it could make money for them. I had my HVAC unit serviced recently and these guys did the old bait-n-switch routine. The service tech, 1.5 hrs late, although very polite, showed me ""numerous areas"" where it was leaking Freon - ironically a week earlier the unit was loaded, tested, and worked great. He even showed me an area of oil which was a visual indicator of a leak. That wasn't there a week ago. Some hand-held noisemaker backed up his ""assessment"". I sure hope he didn't actually mess up the coil or heat pump in his attempt to sell me on more services. When I told him, ""thanks but you can just leave, you don't need to mess with the heat pump"" he refused to leave and said it was his job! I don't trust a company that won't provide you an email address. They only take phone calls and are very pushy with their scheduling.

Stay very, very far away from this company. The reviews indicating horrible customer service are accurate! The staff in the office are rude! The technicians are not competent! I paid $7,100.00 for a new A. C. system and it originally did not work after installation. They came back later that evening after my insisting that they get it working and I was told to ""let it circulate"". The second day, I asked for service and I was told by their dispatch that they were working on it and she asked me if I would rather they be getting parts or giving me updates. Rude! The brand new unit had a part replaced and the unit has leaked ever since! The unit has water stains around it and the filter is rusting from the leak inside the unit and it is a brand new Trane system! They glued the filter door shut and it had to be pried open with a utility knife. The owner, James Harris, actually had the nerve to tell the BBB that he thought I was pouring water on the air handler platform. It failed the City inspection that I scheduled, because they abandoned the job! I have never seen a more unprofessional or unethical company in my life. I have filed complaints with Trane, BBB, DBPR, Synchrony Bank, and the FTC. Anyone who is experiencing these same issues with them should file against their business license with the DBPR. I found out they are already on probation! Their sales tech lied and told me I needed a larger size system, to sell a bigger unit. Unfortunately I believed him and now I have an oversized system that has raised my electric bill and is noisy due to not matching the existing duct work. They then tried to convince me that to solve this problem, I should install all new duct work for thousands more! I have been told by another company that having an oversized unit will cause the system to short cycle, deteriorating the life of the compressor and will not remove the humidity from my home, since the unit will not run long enough to remove the moisture. The owner came to my home at 5am one morning while my home was dark, without an appointment and banged on my front door with his fist while I was still asleep... This was after I filed the complaint with the BBB. He told me the unit was working perfectly, even though there was standing water in front of the air handler that was clearly visible. This is the most awful company. They lie to sell systems, no show for appointments, will tell you the owner, James Harris ""JD"", is not available to take your call and then you can hear him speaking to the staff ( since they love to put you on speaker and mute while they talk among themselves ). I cannot express strongly enough to STAY AWAY from this company. I wish I had read these reviews before I selected a company to replace my A.C. system. I have also read reviews that people got second opinions and that their systems really didn't need replacing and could be repaired for much less money, so I will always wonder if they pulled that scam on me. Currently, I have a failed mechanical inspection that the City cannot approve because the unit was not installed properly. It is not even level and therefore, can possibly have drainage issues. They have never determined why it leaks. The owner's solution is to ""shim"" the leaking unit, after I have invested over 7,000.00. What a joke! There are other companies that offer lifetime service warranties and sell units for less. I wish I had done research on this. I am getting ready to file suit against this company.

So many issues. We allowed them to replace our entire AC system about 5 years ago then agreed to have them come out to do maintenance every 6 months. But every time they came they had something else that needed to be fixed or repaired on a brand new system. They have missed several appts, and we have had to reschedule which no one has time for. Finally, their office staff seem to be clueless. They just called me to schedule a 6 month appt (its Dec 18) when they were just here on Nov 27. My wife made the appt without my knowing. When I called back to tell the person to cancel the appt and that I didn't appreciate them trying to schedule 6 month maintenance every 1-4 months she informed me it was marketing to which I replied ""I don't care who's fault it it"" and then she hung up on me in mid sentence. I will find someone else to service our AC from here on out.

Pro Mag installed my ac less than 5 years ago. The customer service was great then. Recently, my ac quit working. They sent out 3 different people, 3 different times. Each time there was a guess on what was wrong. I was charged $575 for those visits that didn't fix the real problem. Then, when they figured out what the real problem was, I was charged another $975! I am still waiting for a return call from the GM, John Harris, after calling for 4 days to dispute these charges. Each time I called I got another excuse about why he hasn't returned my call. And, I was told that he's the only one that handles customer service and calls are returned in the order in which they are received. There could be thousands of calls ahead of me! If you choose this company, you will be sorely disappointed by their service and scammed for your money.

The worst service and customer service I have ever experienced.. For 3 weeks I'm trying to schedule and appointment and they never showed up. I was promised on every call I made they will call back and definitely never happened. 3 appointments scheduled and they never showed up... the worth about is how disrespectful is the agent taking the calls.. ""Tera"", talk over while I was talking and instead of trying to assist her answer was ""I cannot do anything for you sir"" and hanged up on me.. Really awful.
