Pro Tek are REAL pros! After purchasing.our first home, John was recommended to us for the jobs we needed done. There we're a few things here and there that we hadn't discussed as part of the quote (that was me though), but John got the job done on time. He was very communicative pre service, and especially so when he and his crew were at our house. Even after all of the work was completed, John was gracious enough to field questions from me and help us make our house a home. I would HIGHLY recommend this company.

Amazing honest profesional service! Received a call from Jeremy regarding a schedule visit! Right on when they say a certain time the next day Alfredo the technician was right on! He's professionalism and how he came in and was able to identify the various is was amazing!
After the job was completed he did a final test making sure everything was working to our satisfaction. Totally recommend and will be using them for any other issues as far as electrical and lighting!

I knew the owner, John, he is a good guy. However, John doesn't go to the field a anymore. His business partner is pushy. He suggested me to upgrade my panel even before any balance load test was done. Not only that, he said that AC (Alternating Current) cause mechanical vibration thus it is normal that the fix he did would only last for 6 months by claiming that the bus is pitted, even though 6 months ago he said the bus is clean and not pitted.

I ended up calling a trustworthy electrician. He confirmed the fix was ok, bus is not pitted, and it is simply caused by bad circuit breakers, not because of the panel.

Business is about trust. Once you pushed for 200A panel upgrade EVEN before doing balance load test made me unable to trust you. The balance load shows that the max I use is only 46A. And it is well balanced between 2 buses. My current 100A panel is more than enough.

John offered to check for free to honor the warranty, and will charge if it's a different issue. Make sense. But then his business partner called me and said that he will charge me if he comes to check, and kept blaming the panel. I think he just doesn't want to honor the warranty.

Summary: They did a good job, but don't expect any warranty. Be ready to deal with intimidating upselling tactics by the business partner.

I really wish John has a different business partner.

Was referred to Pro-Tek Electric by Saddleback Plumbing. Needed work to replace several lighting fixtures, repair a ceiling fan, and disable an old alarm system.

The gentleman showed up exactly on time, did all I had requested flawlessly, and in an hour less time than estimated. Highly recommend them!

Our garage door opener popped its circuit breaker the other day, and it do so again after I reset it. Time to call for help.
Nain from Pro-Tek arrived even a few minutes before his committed appointment time, and he began to carefully assess the situation and check out the various possible causes of the problem. As he was working, we both heard a dramatic popping noise, and that led him to the cause of our problem: the light bulb socket on the opener unit was shorting out. Nain left the unit configured such that the opener would work without creating a safety hazard, and he wrote the description of the problem perfectly such that the property manager (we're in a rental) could contact a garage door company with the key info to get the defective part ordered and installed.
We are very happy with this Pro-Tek technician and with the outcome.
